In this article I will give you basic guidelines for analyzing aspects between the various planets. I have already explained the basis on which this analysis should be build:

Before we pay attention to what exactly is the aspect we must first take into account the following parameters:

1. Which planets are involved in it

2. What "tasks" do those planets have, what do they "promise" us.

In his Tetrabiblos Ptolemy does not mention anything about how planets get along with each other when entering into relationships, or in other words, when they are in aspect.

Imagine two people who themselves have certain characteristics. And what happens when something brings them together – they either built instinctive sympathy for each other or antipathy, or they are simply indifferent to each other.

Similarly, the planets may "like" each other. Or they might not like or be indifferent to each other.

Everywhere is provided information on the true nature and meaning of a given planet, extracted on the basis of astronomical facts (see article for planets http://www.grreporter.info/Planetite_-_glavnite_geroi_v_kralskiya_dvor_n...

Saturn, for example, is described as the planet which provides the limits, the detention, the barriers. Its main quality is to cool and dry. All this is attributed to the astronomical fact that Saturn is farthest from the Sun and Earth, it symbolically marks the boundary of the solar system (the apparent limit, because Saturn is the last visible to the naked eye planet). Because of this distance the least amount solar heat and moisture from the Earth reach to it.

Based on the above mentioned quality assessment, is made a division into two groups:

• planet which create good (benefices)

• planets that create evil (malefitsi).

The principle of this separation stems from the fact that planets having qualities such as, "dry and cool" are harming life and living creatures while planets with qualities such as "wet and warm" support it - the life.

This division is quite relative and should NOT be taken literally. Life is diverse and nothing exists only as black and white. When dealing with these two categories the question: "What is good and what is bad?" must be present. One planet is not just "evil and destructive." It is such to something specific. It is able to destroy something. The same is also true for "goodness". To what and whom is it directed? In other words - what are the "tasks" of a given planet. How are they defined, is one of the most important stages in astrology.

The planets "evildoers" might be one of the positive indicators in the horoscope, because they may have the task to destroy the negative indicators. Similarly, the planets "good doers" can function negatively – they just take great care and flow a lot of energy into maintain a constant negative indicators, if they are responsible for them in the horoscope. This is something very simple and yet one of the most difficult to understand concepts in astrology.

So the Sun, Venus and Jupiter are placed in category benefices. Mars and Saturn - malefitsi category. Mercury can be both. It depends on his status and the planets, which binds with.

For the moon is applied the condition growing / not growing. It is believed that when the moon is increasing, it accumulates power (heat from the sun) and is beneficial. When it decreases, it is losing strength and influences more unfavorably.

The situation of the Sun is somewhat special. While it is not possible to treat it the same way as the planets with natural tendency "malefic", in certain cases, it affects as such. Everyone knows what happens where in the hottest summer days the sun shines with all its power. It is able to burn all that fall under its direct light.

So far so good. But planets are not alone for themselves. They are forced to "cohabit" together. Just like humans. Here is involved a category called "Planetary friendship / rivalry / neutrality". This category is rarely mentioned. And I do not know why.

In Indian astrology, one of the most fascinating things is that they perceive planets as living human beings. Assigning them human attributes. In western astrology this has been done until a certain historic moment, but then was gradually forgotten.

What would happen if two friends are placed in a situation in which they have a conflict? They will confront, but they will still maintain good tone with each other and will not cause trouble to each other. That's what happens when two planets, which by nature are friendly to each other are placed in a tense, disharmonious aspect. The tension between them creates something new, there is some change. But instinctively they will not harm each other, they will not bite too painfully. They are able to function well with one another even in more intense situations.

Even better when two friendly planets are in harmonious aspect. They will support each other in the best possible way.

However, what happens if two planets are hostile to each other? Even in the most beautiful harmonious aspect they still work hard with one another.

Here I will provide the classification for planetary relations that existed at the birth of astrology and is now preserved in the Indian astrology.

As shown in the table, it is not necessary that the "feelings" of the planets fore each other are the same. For example, Jupiter is hostile to Venus, while Venus accepts it indifferent, neutral. Saturn relates friendly to Mercury and Mercury does not put any feelings toward Saturn. If we transfer this model to us humans, we all know that the feelings between two people are not always mutual.

You will probably notice that the planets beyond Saturn - Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are not included in the table. These are invisible to the naked eye planets. Their relations with the other planets are primarily neutral.

I will give examples of aspects between the various planets.

Sun and Jupiter.

The two planets share completely mutual friends "feelings" towards each other. Even in tense aspect between them, they will just not harm each other. On the contrary.

In disharmonious aspects relating to materiality, a very visible and tangible result can be expected. Let us say the man has talent, which in almost all cases will find field for expression and will bring him success. Since there is an innate stress in the disharmonious aspect, still the man realizes that something must be done when a good opportunity stands in his way. And there is such opportunity in abundance, thanks to Jupiter.

In the harmonic aspect there is no tension and then, although things are running smoothly and the man has different talents, he takes them for granted and tends to waste them. He does not feel the need to do anything. Often life offers him a lot of things he just accepts them and rarely seek to retain them. These are people who regularly say that they are lucky, because everything is given to them too easily.

Moon and Mercury.

Here is an interesting combination. Moon refers friendly to Mercury, but Mercury looks at the moon "in the wrong way". The planet, which is usually hostile causes some damage in the natural scenery of the another planet.

Mercury in its naturalness defines the information in details, coordinates the mental connections. So its support in a harmonious aspect will involve rationalizing of emotional intelligence on the moon – through logic information, speech. The emotional expression is muted by the reason of the intellect. A man with such aspect tends to rely more on intellect than on his feelings and emotions.

The moon in turn will not make any damage to the qualities of Mercury, just because it perceives it as a close friend. The moon will help it in understanding and defining even the things which are said that can not be described in words, to make correct logical conclusions and judgments. People with this aspect are some of the best listeners. In the harmonic aspects has been given a talent for writing, but if Mercury is not included in a disharmonious aspect, this talent is rarely seen in the white world.

In disharmonious aspects the above is more noticeable, albeit accompanied by a conflict between the two planets. But even in the confrontational aspect the moon again will not cause detriment to the nature of Mercury. On the contrary. The moon will motivate it to become more flexible to mix with pure logic and emotions to give it verbal expression. The disharmonious aspect on one side can be quite unpleasant, because the speech and expression are very "moody", critical at times and in complete capture of gossip. However these people can remember tons of information they have exceptionally helpful memory, they just always have accurate information about everything. They become some of the best journalists, teachers, editors, writers, etc.

And the last example would be for planets in the feud.

Saturn and Sun.

The biggest enemies. In any aspect of standing, they bring some harm to one another. And the main victim is the Sun. When these two planets are in close relations, the sun is in danger, not Saturn. The difference is that in the harmonic aspects Saturn's injury took the form of need and lack of tension.

Right here I must mention that although the natural characteristics of the planets are somehow damaged, the damage is not always quite so unfavorable.

I will return again to the following:

One planet is not just "evil and destructive." It is such for something specific. It is able to destroy something. The same goes for "goodness". To what and whom it is directed? In other words - what are the "tasks" of a planet.

Determining the "tasks" of each planet is based on the following factors:

• Which homes in the horoscope manage this planet

• In which home is it positioned

• Which homes it "looks" at and is "willing" to intervene in their affairs. This is done primarily through the aspects of the planet.

Homes outline specific areas of life. In English is used the word "home". There is a difference between "house" and "home". The first means the house - as the building house - and is impersonal. And the second means home as the place where you feel at home and is much more intimate. The Sanskrit word for home is "bhava" and means a way of existence, nature, feeling. I mention these terms and their meanings, because they have very deep meaning.

I already wrote about the cardinal axes in the horoscope, indicating respectively 1st, 4th, 7th and 10th homes - ASC / DSC and MC / IC. The remaining homes are defined by mathematical means through them.

On this topic I will focus in the following articles.
