"Tzatzikokinisi"

"Kavouras"

This place has already become a historical gyros eatery in the centre of Exarcheia district. For many years, the restaurant had kept its traditional look but has recently been completely refurbished and has become fashionable and unrecognizable. Its gyros, however, remains among the best in Athens and enjoys many customers of all ages. Its skewers are delicious and the takeaway has a traditional taste. It has been in its present location on Sevastoupoleos Street for years and makes some of the best gyros in Athens: delicious, with good meat and lightly toasted pita bread. It is famous for its chicken roasted on coals which is an ideal choice in the Ambelokipi area. If you like lamb, here you will find delicious ribs.

"Lefteris"

"Lefteris" has been located in Omonia Square in the centre of Athens since 1951. For years, its gyros have been considered to be the spiciest in town. Here you can enjoy the pita bread with burger, which is the specialty of the house. Lovers of this type of meal queue at noon in order to have this pita with burger, onions and tomatoes.

"Paneritraykos"

"Paneritraykos" in Nea Eritrea certainly offers one of the best gyros in town. In a modern room on Halandriou Street between Halandri and Agia Paraskevi, Pita Q offers very tasty meat and takeaway. Although it is a relatively new restaurant, it has created a stable customer base that is constantly growing. Choose between gyros, kebab, chicken, chicken with bacon, kebabs and sausages, and the oven baked potatoes with sauce are also very good.
