This Order also holds special ceremonies in major Athenian hotels. As indicated in the text issued specifically for "National Commitment Ceremony" which was held on November 28, 2009 "new knights gave vows to the Order, clothed with mantles, wearing the Cross of the Order and swords and received – symbols of their strength and determination to provide charity services." Then the Knights had some fun, but "until a certain hour, because the professional duties of the Knights enjoin them to have dignity and a decent social behavior and some reasonable and acceptable limits, even in fun." 

However, within the Knights of the Templar, there are rumors of disgruntled members, some of whom have left the Order. In the past there have been suspicions of illegal financial operations. Some former “knights” who have left the orders in Greece often share on the Internet that the people in these organizations are "dangerous deceivers" who held "meetings of vain rich people from Kolonaki," and that some of them are "newly rich people, who are satisfied just by carrying a mantle."
