The access to Athens airport was interrupted in the early afternoon. According to the Greek media, about 25 tractors had separated from the blockade that the police had formed to prevent them from moving to the centre of Athens. Now there are long lines of cars on the surrounding roads, including on the Atiiki Odos ring road.

Two hours later the road to the airport was open after farmers moved off their tractors. The blockade at the Markopoulo junction continues.
