A few internet services that save time, money and effort

In the previous articles I often mentioned factors such as time, money and effort. On the one hand everyone wants a site with good enough functionality so as to be able to attract and retain consumers, to be interesting and keep up with current trends. The standard model of the development of a website includes the manufacture of certain mandatory elements, without which the site would not be competitive, but making them takes time, money and effort, and for a blogger, this is an almost impossible task. On the other hand, it is imperative that a site give the opportunity to comment, to share with the social networks, to be capable of displaying articles on the same topic (ie. Related items). The SPAM in comments is a big problem for each site and dealing effectively with it as far as possible, is highly recommended, not to say mandatory!

So how to save time, effort and money * so as to have these things on our website or blog?

I'll go from the fact that the proposed services have alternative in the form of various modules or extensions to the system for management of the content (CMS), you are using as the basis for your site, be it WordPress, Drupal or any other. Many of the services in question are easily integrated with the well known systems for management of the content.

 * Some of the services are paid for commercial use.

Disqus is an online service that offers a centralized system for comments, or simply put, you can insert comments where you feel that this is necessary on your blog or website. Disqus exists as a service since 2007 and durin this time it has managed to attract famous sites such as CNN, TechChrunch, FoxNEWS, IGN, Engadget and others. There, users are able to write as anonymous, but they also may be indicated to only write as registered users. Disqus provides many opportunities, including integration with social networks, hierarchy of responses to more easily follow the discussion, notification by e-mail, rating of responses and many others.

It is an advantage that you can use an account from facebook, Twitter, OpenID, Yahoo. Disqus provides also a good integration with Akismet, the service to control undesired messages or the so called spam.

Akismet is a service established in 2005 originally as a module to control SPAM - comments on the extremely popular blogging platform with an open source WordPress. Subsequently it expanded and is now available for integration in any site or blog. Since version 2.0 of WordPress, Akismet was integrated in the blog platform. There are some complaints that recognizes some of the comments of actual users as spam, but anyway there is no perfect system that can 100% effectively filter out spam and not make mistakes. If you use WordPress or Disqus, I would advise you to at least activate the service and try it.
Surphace is the service that intelligently detects and presents relevant content on your site or blog. Showing such related articles, saves the time and effort of the reader and keeps him for a while longer on your site, which is good for your advertising policy. From this service have taken advantage many large and famous news and other web sites like Time, LA Times, CBS, Tribune, WordPress, Dowjones, Engadget and others. When using the service, the site content is automatically added to their index and allows to attract more users.

Finally I would to finish this article with two services that provide buttons to share your web site on the social networks. In our articles, we have often mentioned the importance and impact that these networks have acquired in recent years, as well as for the usefulness of this feature to easily and quickly enable your readers to share something they like on your site with their friends and acquaintances. Both services offer similar functionality and it is up to you which one you would prefer.

The first service is AddThis and it provides keys to a large number of social networks and the style and type of the buttons can be selected. Additionally, you can also choose the function to keep statistics on the use of the buttons.

The second service is provided by Shareaholic, it has the seductive and provocative name SEXYBOOKMARKS and is suitable for blogs with its more imaginative and youthful appearance:

I hope that with this very brief introduction, I have been helpful. I deliberately did not get into more detailed descriptions, because it is holiday time now! I will be glad if you shared in the comments below the article, also your experience and tell us what you use and what you are satisfied with.
