Chairwoman of the school Daniela Todorova also greeted the new students and noted that the school had survived throughout all those years thanks to charity and sponsors. “For us today is September 15…Study, because this is our future. Let us teach students to love Bulgaria, in order for them to know who we are,” said Mrs. Todorova. “This year we start with 60 children; with many first graders and a preparatory group. We are working hard in order for our children to know their native language and maybe someday return to Bulgaria.”

Mrs. Todorova symbolically gave the Knowledge Key to a first grade teacher with the wish for a successful year and after that the youngest children sang the old time favorite children song “High blue mountains”. The celebration ended with consecration done by father Atanasiy and after that one of the teachers hit the first school bell and the children left for their classrooms. Their parents remained in the yard, in order to talk, while the youngsters finished with their studies. Let us wish them a successful new school year!
