Greece has fulfilled only seven of the 13 preliminary measures required for the granting of the next tranche of financial assistance to the amount of 1 billion euro, as announced by a representative of the euro zone in statements to the agency Reuters.

In his words, "All the rest and everything else related is due to be adopted in the Greek parliament on Tuesday." The representatives of creditor institutions will submit a report on the fulfilment of commitments on the part of Athens on Wednesday.

After the report is presented, the deputy finance ministers of the euro zone member countries, who make up the board of the euro zone bailout fund, are to hold a teleconference meeting at the end of the week to approve the payment of the tranche.

The implementation of the second reform package together with the successful application of the first package and bank recapitalisation are "important steps towards building trust," European Commission Spokesperson for Economic Affairs Annika Breidthardt said in Brussels.

She pointed out that the advisory teams of creditors were working with the Greek authorities to finalize the second package of preliminary measures, "which will be voted on soon."

Immediately after its adoption by the Greek Parliament the creditor representatives will prepare a report which will be submitted to the working group of the Eurogroup (Euroworking Group). If it is assessed as successful, the council of finance ministers will approve the tranche payment.
