The circle of violence does not stop there. Clashes between supporters of different teams - the hooligans, who have long used guns, grenades and explosives – are expected to increase from September onwards. Police say many of the groups have been in conflict since last year and the clashes between them are expected to be fierce.
In parallel, the anti-terrorism forces are working hard to capture the leading figures of the group Revolutionary Struggle - Nikos Maziotis and Paula Roupa. The police believe that "the current political and economic environment may cause a new wave of attacks by armed groups that can commit arson and bombings."
