The weather is perfect for a large aromatic cup of hot chocolate, a "fairytale" atmosphere and relaxing music. Good chocolate, however, is not simple work, therefore click@Life website offers the best Athenian chocolateries for your attention.

Sokolata 56

Like an old French bistro, it is specialised in chocolate, which is made from authentic Valrhona chocolate. Besides great chocolate, the menu also offers tea, coffee, home-made snacks and sweets made mainly on the basis of our favourite chocolate. The place is tiny - there are only four tables in it. You can enjoy calm, relaxing music here - from classical to ethnic and exquisite Greek music. Information: 56 Ermou (in the arcade), phone: 210 2028201.

The Dark side of chocolate

A small coffee shop in chocolate shades, with a few tables and a remarkable owner who will welcome you so that you will feel at home. Try some of the exclusive creamy chocolate drinks, which are made from a mixture of different types of Valrhona chocolate, combined with cardamom, chilli or anything else you can imagine. Try also the delicious chocolates with various flavours (lemon, basil, violet, pink pepper, etc.) and a different cocoa content. Information: 41 Solonos, Athens, www.facebook.com/#!/Pages/The-Dark-Side-Of-Chocolate/454338531274067?Fref=ts.

Da Capo

All time classic! In the centre of Kolonaki, Da Capo welcomes a countless number of guests every day. This is one of the oldest known places in Kolonaki which offers one of the best chocolate drinks in town even today. Alone, standing, or seated in a group at one of the sidewalk tables, you can enjoy the wonderful chocolate offered here with a delicious cookie. For even greater pleasure, you may add a teaspoon of truffle. Information: 1 Tzakalof, Kolonaki, phone: 2103602497.

Petite Fleur

Once you have visited this coffee shop, with a Petite Fleur atmosphere, you will be sure that Amelie has visited our country and stopped in this lovely coffee shop in order to leave her mark here. In a beautiful space, with attention to detail and the aroma of Paris, the tables and chairs bear the atmosphere of another era, and the music is mostly jazz from the '30s. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with incredible flavour combinations (plain, with pink pepper, spicy, etc.), which is served in a huge cup. At Petite Fleur in Halandri, which is slightly larger than the other coffee shop in Omirou Street, you can sit at one of the few tables in the square and dream that you are in one of the narrow streets under the Sacré-Cœur church in Paris. Information: 44 Omirou, Kolonaki, phone: 210 3613169 / 2 Square Agiou Nicolaou, Halandri, phone: 210 6814825, http://on.fb.me/101A6Jt.

Rezin

This is one of the historic café-bars in Athens, known for years for its hot chocolate. Located in the centre of Exarcheia, on the corner of Dzaveka and Emmanuel Benaki Streets, only 100 metres from the square, it offers one of the most delicious hot chocolate drinks in town. Hot and dense as is should be, the hot chocolate here is made with no sugar. It is always served hot, or cold if you prefer, with cream, syrup and a truffle on top. The taste reminds you of melted milk chocolate, but the recipe is a secret. Information: 53 Emmanuel Benaki & Tzavela Street, Exarcheia, phone: 210 3846385.

L’arret du temps

Or, in other words, "Stopping Time". This lovely café opposite the Hotel Caravel in Pangrati has actually stopped the time in old Vienna. With the atmosphere of an old Viennese café, which is created by the wooden tables and chairs and leather sofas, it keeps you away from the grey atmosphere of the metropolis. Try the exclusive Valrhona chocolate with cayenne pepper or cinnamon in a large cup, on the ground floor or in the loft, with a warm croissant with butter. Information: 5-7 Vasilia Alexandrou, Pangrati, phone: 210 7253200, www.meinlcafe.gr.

Clemente

In the Spiromiliou arcade in City Link, right behind Attica, Clemente is famous for its Italian delights. Besides delicious espresso, here you can taste excellent chocolate with numerous aromas and flavours. The feeling will be unforgettable. Try a hot chocolate drink with a warm "ciabatta". Information: 3 Voukourestiou, Centre, phone: 210 3219340, www.citylink.gr/lifestyle/dining/clemente.

Elli Tou Clou

An all-day-place, it opens at 9 a.m. with a lot of hot drinks and homemade cakes of the day, and features an extraordinary mosaic. The place is wonderful - small but amazing. With its pale relaxing colours, you will enjoy a great atmosphere, good service and delicious hot chocolate. Information: 110 Pendelis, Vrilissia, Athens, phone: 210 8037773-4, www.facebook.com/elitouklou.
