"I love you ...  kisses." said Lady Gaga in a Greek goodbye shortly after 11 pm on Friday, parting with her thousands of fans who had come to the Olympic Stadium in Athens to watch her phantasmagorical show.

For about 2 hours Athenians (and not only) were watching exactly what they had been promised: an outrageous and provocative performance in many colours, with much dancing and many wigs and lights.

Lady Gaga, the singer who made part of Greece dance to her rhythm since Wednesday evening, gave a performance that all the spectators in the stadium will remember, and apart from the show, she spoke Greek and came wrapped in a Greek flag.

She told the Greeks she was proud of their country, and called out on the microphone "After the Acropolis and Parthenon survived, you also managed". The pop star performed all her popular hits and left no one dissatisfied.

The only negative aspect of the concert was that the Olympic stadium was not full for the biggest event of the summer.

Microscopic Lady Gaga appeared on stage shortly after 9 pm and the show lasted nearly two hours.

Tour of Athens wearing a tiara

The party started in the afternoon when the eccentric pop star went out of the Grande Bretagne hotel dressed in white and wearing a large tiara, taking pictures of herself and then uploading them on Instagram.

Many famous faces from early on in the stadium

Besides the thousands of fans many famous people came to the stadium to watch the show from close-by. Among them were Tourism Minister Olga Kefaloyani, as well as many singers, actors, TV presenters and other TV personas.

Thousands of fans followed her everywhere, panic in the Stadium

Meanwhile, since Wednesday, when the pop diva arrived in Athens, thousands of fans spent hours in front of the Grande Bretagne hotel to be closer to their idol.

Most of them went also to the stadium and many fans dressed eccentrically, their clothing matching the schizophrenic style of the singer.

Social networks were full of pictures of Lady Gaga fans with eccentric outfits.
