The work on the extension of the metro network in Athens - line 4 is about to be commenced, which will go round the neighbourhoods around the centre of Athens serving tens of thousands of citizens. Line 4 will run from Alsos Veyku to Evangelismos and will have 9 stations: Galatsi, Kipseli, Dikastiria, Alexandras, Exarchia, Panepistimio, Kolonaki, Evangelismos.

Projects under the ESPA program by 2015

A total of 65 projects will be completed by December 2015, when the ESPA 2007-2013 program ends. The projects are spread across Greece and employ tens of thousands of workers. These are from road segments to dams and from hospitals to regeneration of space. Some of them are amongst the most important ones for Greece, such as the motorway way in the section Actio - Amvrakia, Diakopto-Rododafni railway, the hospital of Mytilene, the dam of Triandafilia in Florina, as well as 4 other motorways.
