A Libyan fighter plane fired at a Greek tanker, located north of the port of Derna city. The shots riddled the ship but there were no injuries among the crew.

"Iron Baron V tanker left the port on Tuesday morning and is now anchored in the high seas and international waters," representatives of Murrina Management Company that manages the tanker told capital.gr.

The company is going to submit to the Operations Centre of the Hellenic Coast Guard a full report on the attack. The tanker with a capacity of 56,500 tons, whose construction was completed this year, had recently been launched. Its owner is Edem Marine company that operates a total of seven tankers.
