According to recent data of the Bank of Greece, the unemployment rate will reach 28% in 2014. Specialists in the field of social security are warning that life expectancy has increased by 30 years over the past 100 years, which means that the length of our service will be extended to guarantee our retirement. At the same time, nearly 40% of the enterprises in the country are unable to fill their vacancies. This means that if we ourselves are not willing to become entrepreneurs we must constantly improve and update our knowledge and skills to be able to provide a better working environment and financial security.
"We see each year that an increasing number of employers realize the scale of the problem and try out different strategies to deal with it. Unfortunately, there is no unilateral solution to everything. Attitudes need to change through systematic cooperation between all interested parties: the state, business, the educational community and the experts in the field of human resources, as well as the people themselves," says the CEO of Manpower Group, Venetia Kousia.
