An operation of the service combating economic crimes ended initially with a complete fiasco. Representatives of the service had ordered on Friday the closure of a nightclub in Kallithea, Halkidiki for 48 hours because of its failure to issue receipts. The club’s managers did not comply with the order and the club operated normally on Saturday, which was even announced on its official Facebook page:

"Whatever the rumours are, they do not concern us. We rose a storm with Panos Kiamos last night and we will do the same today! Thank you for your SMS messages... We are continuing as usual", Summer Fix Live’s chiefs wrote in the social network on Saturday afternoon.

At dawn on Saturday, the service combating economic crimes had inspected the establishment where nearly 500 people had been having fun and it found out that the nightclub had not issued receipts. It should be noted that the nightclub was opened for the first time on Friday.

At 11:00 pm on Saturday, when the visitors began to occupy the tables in the nightclub, four policemen had entered the establishment, apprehending its temporary manager for violating the order of the service, without closing the establishment, as provided by law. The entertainment programme continued normally and, at 3 am, the police visited the club again, apprehending the owner’s daughter this time.

However, the policemen did not close the establishment the second time either, as required by law. The subsequent police investigation shows that Summer Fix Live does not even have the necessary permission. The two apprehended will face the prosecutor in Poligiro.

Meanwhile, the managers of the nightclub expressed on its Facebook page their gratitude to the singer for his cooperation. "We thank Panos Kiamos for his excellent cooperation and for the two wonderful evenings he gave us. We wish him good luck and we are awaiting his return. We are continuing to operate and we are awaiting all of you!", reads their message.

Stelios Stasinopoulous, secretary of the service combating economic crimes, contacted on Sunday morning the head of the police department in Kassandra, the police chief of Halkidiki, and the prosecutor in Halkidiki and asked for their assistance regarding the closure of the nightclub.

Finally, the establishment was closed again on Sunday, 4 August, and it will open tomorrow, on Tuesday. If the violation is repeated, the law provides that the establishment be closed for a period of one month and for a period of one year if the violations continue.

However, the nightclub may be closed for a longer period if the data that it is working without the necessary permits have been confirmed.

At the same time, some questions are arising in connection with the actions of the local police department which is to enforce the decision of the service combating economic crimes. Proceedings against the head of the police department in Kassandra have already been initiated, and the Greek police headquarters has ordered a formal administrative investigation to impose a disciplinary sanction on the policemen.

Meanwhile, the temporary chief of the nightclub and the owner's daughter detained in connection with the case will face the prosecutor of Poligiro, Halkidiki. The owner of the nightclub is missing.
