This week brought many awards to many young Bulgarian performers. BG Radio gave out its annual awards and Miro, who has been present with two of his songs in GRR HOT 15, received the awards for BG performer, BG album and BG song. The success is following him everywhere and we hope that soon another song if him will join our GRR family.

After being present in the chart for four weeks Playmen and Reckless are managing to resist the strong competition and their song Together Forever is number one for a second week! This is truly going to become the number one summer hit for 2009, because not only in clubs but even when I’m walking down the street I hear the song from every other car. Wow, it’s amazing how the right song at the right time can create the best summer mood ever!

Number two and also no change in the position from last week is the song Zoom by Nevena, Marius Moga and NiVo. The video of the song finally came out and you can see it in GRR HOT 15.

This week the prestigious number three is reserved for Razorlight and their song Wire to Wire. The announcement that drummer Andy Burrows is leaving the band, disappointed all fans but we are left with many good songs, one of which is going up in GRR HOT 15. Well, regarding the fourth position I believe there is not much to say. I think it would be enough if I said that Hush Hush by the Pussycat Dolls managed to get climb up with ten positions only for two weeks!

Sakis Rouvas is protecting his fifth position for a second week. The singer had his ups and downs in the chart but right now a fall can be fatal. So let us hope that This is our night withstand the competition and will entertain us for some time longer.

Surprisingly, Lilana, Snoop Dog & Big Sha went down with three positions and Dime Piece is on number six this week. It turns out that it is not easy to make it on the music market (obviously, extremely cliché statement). The Bulgarian performer was harassed, ridiculed, and many other things, which I do not want to get into but you all know about from my previous articles. I will try and put this topic to rest only with one question – who are we to judge?

Now, something interesting for those of you who are interested in music as well as advertising. Flo Rida and some other artists are starting product placement in their videos. Very smart and also expected... Young and older audiences will be more likely to go and buy a product if they heard their favorite performer sing about it or even use it in his video. Advertising hits home base again! So now, in GRR HOT 15 Flo Rida is seventh with his song Sugar, which unfortunately for the advertisers is not full of product placement.

This week Tamta jumped up with five positions and now it is a fact that Kita Me took over our hearts. Elena Paparizou is closely following Tamta and also jumped up with five positions. This week in GRR HOT 15 Tha ‘Mai Allios is number nine and is ready to compete with Sakis and Tamta.

The news about Justin Timberlake and T.I. are still not good – three positions down and tenth place. Dead and Gone spent a lot of time in the chart but it never became a favorite probably because Justin made the duet with Ciara Love, Sex and Magic, which won the hearts of the public!

Anna Vissi and her song Stin Pyra are on number 11 after a fall of one position. The singer is going on a summer tour and all fans should prepare for a party! Anna will visit Athens on June 29th, Thessaloniki on July 1st, and Cyprus on September 25th. The full list of dates and places you can find here.

The Killers and their song Spacemen went up with three positions and are currently on number twelve. The song is going up and it seems that the arrogance of the band is not bothering the fans. The band said that they “want to knock Led Zeppelin and Nirvana off their pedestals.” Well, I’m not sure if this is going to happen but I’m sure that they are and will be very successful!

Filippos Pliatsikas went down with one position and is now on the lucky number 13. Sadly, Balarines Epitreponte is about to leave the chart but I hope that it made you as happy as it made me. This song had a weird but positive effect on my memories and brought back things, which made me laugh. And the strange thing now is that Filippos Pliatsikas is going to have a concert with a person who also brings back childhood memories – Sinead O’Connor! Yes, the girl who sang Nothing Compares and many other great songs will visit Athens and will sing on Keraiskaki stadium with Filippos Pliatsikas on June 12th! Well, I certainly hope that if this information is of any interest, you can still find some tickets…

One of the two new songs this week, Disco Party reminds me of a disco party...ha! No surprise here but if you take a second and think how long it has been since you heard something like this in Bulgarian, then you’ll be impressed. Grafa and Akaga manage to make a great song, which I’m sure will be liked by most and appreciated by the rest.

Number 15 in GRR HOT 15 is the second new song – Boom Boom Pow by Black Eyed Peas. Nice song, to be honest it makes my head rock but the thing, which really impressed me and made me listen to the song few times is the video clip. I love the effects and they are very well done. So, it is worth to take a look. And now enjoy GRR HOT 15 and have a great, hot, weekend with some love in the air!
