With a score of 3-0 finished the game from the finals of A1 between the male volleyball teams of Olympiakos and Panathinaikos, played at Randy field in Athens. With the outcome of tonight white-red managed to strike out the loss from their previous encounter with Panathinaikos. In this game they did not have a particularly hard time to feel the taste of the victory. They played very actively and with enthusiasm. A very important factor turned out to be also the support of their fans who had literally occupied the field. Special merits for the victory had Ivan Miljkovic, who did everything possible for his team to win. Of great importance was also the fact the greens played without their key player Hristofidelis. For the Greek the practice season was over after he was caught in the use of prohibited doping substances. His absence of course, had a negative impact on the greens. So tonight they played without enthusiasm, as if they expected the loss. Not for a moment did they manage to threaten with their presence the hosts. They left the course without a single set won...

The game began with a slight superiority on the part of the greens. The hosts were late to find the rhythm. They "woke up" after having fallen behind by 2-7. They were quickly able to make up for the loss and took the lead in the score by 15-12. Then followed a new change in the result. Samica scored points for his team and both teams started going again hand in hand in the score. Thanks to their strong block hosts managed to lead at the end of the set by 25-23.

During the second set the situation on the field did not change. Both teams were again close to each other in the result. The difference was rarely going over 2 points, which increased the tension in the game. Due to the attacks of Djuric, Andreadis and Miljkovich Olympiakos took the lead again. Miljkovich was in great shape tonight and was bringing almost all the attacks to the end. The set finished with 25-21.

The hosts played in the same spirit also in the third set. Active and effective they did not miss a chance to score points. Having strengthened their blocks, the chance of guests to undertake any counterattack vanished... The set finished with 25-15 in favor of the hosts.
