This article will focus on practical examples in the ruling of houses.

I have stressed several times already that there is no good and bad in nature. And I will continue to say this constantly, as it turns out that this is something terribly difficult to perceive.

The division of the planets into beneficial and is completely conditional, since there are things in our lives that everyone wants to stay away from. These are the maleficent things in our lives. There are things that everyone seeks and wishes to happen and to have them in abundance – these are the beneficial things in our lives.

There is often the elementary notion that a planet “causes” something. There are sayings like “The reason for my marriage/failure in work/debt, etc. is a planet.”; “Planets rule my life.”; “Astrology claims that planets determine what will happen to me”... and the like. These conclusions lack any sense and we could easily say that any other parts of the body but not the mind made them.

I will not apologize for saying that all such statements are deprived of any human thought. The planets in our solar system are not “interested” in breaking someone’s leg or in someone’s marriage. They are symbolic language that astrologers use to read. They symbolize certain things in the horoscope and it doesn’t matter whether we humans perceive them as good or bad. Putting labels is our, human problem.

Everyone has a magnetic field which is called aura in the modern world. And man attracts the necessary people and events to him/her through his/her magnetic field. Planets are like the we use to make a sentence and we read what a specific magnetic field has attracted in the present moment. Nobody would have blamed the letters “p” “a” “i” “n” only because they form an unpleasant word for all – “pain”.

Let’s go back to the topic.

The symbolic signs used are as follows:

 - Sun – rules the 10^th house, stands in the 10^th house

 - Mars – rules the 1^st and the 6^th houses, stands in the 12^th house

 - Jupiter – rules the 2^nd and the 5^th houses, stands in the 5^th house

 - Saturn – rules the 3^rd and 4^th houses, stands in the 11^th house

How to interpret this information by combining the nature of planets with the specific “intentions” of a particular horoscope?

The Sun

As the ruler of the 10^th house it gets a neutral status. Since it does not rule another house, it keeps its neutral status that could be modified by the planets the Sun is connected with (aspects).

Sun, according to the natural division, is difficult to attribute only to the category of beneficial planets. The reason to put it in this category is that the Sun is the vital energy, the divine in every man. This can not be called in any case maleficent. But the Sun is a factor in the human spirit. Concerning the purely material and physical life, things slightly change. It is referred to as “cruel” from this perspective. Due to its orientation to the divine, the universal, the Sun is ready to burn and separate us from the material things in the name of spiritual development. It makes man independent - not only in spirit but also independent of the things around him. One of the ways to establish this independence is to put the man in situations that separat him from the things he depends on. No matter what they are.

Sun is the center of the solar system like the spirit is the heart of our microcosm, our personal universe. So, the house of the Sun is the place around which all our creative energy, the purpose of our existence revolve. In this case, this is the 10^th house again. It is related to reputation, achievements, occupation, and career, what makes us visible to the society. If we look at things from the standpoint of the 10^th house, the ruler of the 10^th house stands in the 1^st house. So, everything here is very, very personal. Refrain “Work is my life” is entirely appropriate in this case.
 
No matter how strange this may look, such a position of the Sun is a factor which indicates that the person may loose his job, reputation, achievements; that he can not retain on a permanent position. The ambition is so vast that it is often the cause. Of course, high position in society can be achieved. Self-confidence in the own abilities is large and often actions are authoritarian. In any way the man will attract to himself different situations and events to prove himself and take a leading position. Here I will stress the fact that a substantial public status is not necessarily associated with a material one. This is a very common mistake. It (the material status) is defined by the 2^nd and the 11^th houses.

Mars

In this case we have a combination of functional beneficial planet (ruler of the 1^st house) and functional maleficent planet (ruler of the 6^th house). Naturally Mars is maleficent planet. How is this combined?

The 1^st house - as trigonal and fundamental house – prevails in importance over the 6^th house in the horoscope. The ruler of the 1^st house has the main obligation to establish and place the man to the right and proper place for him - whatever it is. And to maintain his physical condition. Mars does not like comfort but battles. And gives people huge force to fight external obstacles that charges him with even more energy.

So, we can determine Mars as functional beneficial planet in the horoscope on condition that benefits will come after some difficulty. Man will face a lot of obstacles along the way (the 6^th house), but they will always be successfully overcome.
 
We have to consider the true nature of Mars – maleficent planet. What is interesting here is that in life maleficent planets cope the best with maleficent planets (like Mars and Saturn), because they have the necessary equipment. Mars is a natural signification of everything that is at enemy with us – people, accidents, diseases, incidents, etc. In other words, Mars is just in its place when it rules these things the specific horoscope. It “lives” on the same frequency and is adjusted to them. Because it has the power, the energy and the fuel necessary to cope in the best possible way.

So, here Mars is positive. Although the man himself would be in situations that are in any way injurious to his body (the 1^st house plus that the ruler stands at 12^th house of the loss), he will manage to recover ("diseases" in the 6^th house are lost through the 12^th house). In practice, the man himself will be liable for all his troubles. He will not be a victim accidentally in the way of someone with a grenade in hand.

Everything that is connected with the 6^th house gets better in time. So, the position man will improve with the years. The energy of Mars is allocated in the most effective way over the years so as not to cause constant difficulties and obstacles. Here Mars can provide talent for medicine, the sense of what can help to restore the upset physical balance of the body as well as foritary positions - not only in this sense, but for all professions, which require you to be able to make war and to win battles.

Jupiter

Here we have a combination of functionally neutral (2^nd house) and functional beneficial planet (5^th house). The true nature of Jupiter is the greatest beneficial planet. Briefly, and without any side effects that particular position of Jupiter is a functional status - full beneficial planet. Indeed, one can say that everything that is written principally about the beneficent nature of Jupiter will be displayed in this horoscope. On top of that, the planet stands in the 5^th  house.

We can unconditionally say that in this horoscope Jupiter is to protect man from himself. Here we can find outstanding natural intelligence, talent to express himself through speech or on paper, creativity well expressed in large scales. The man will know how to shape profitable ideas and to launch them, including speculative ones. And all this accompanied by better material productivity. Jupiter will always protect the person from material difficulties. It will bring luck to him (it stands in the 5^th house).

Saturn

Combination of functional maleficent planet (3^rd house) plus a neutral (4^th house) planet. Saturn is maleficent by nature. The ultimate evaluation for it is functional maleficent planet.

We must always reckon what this status is given for when determining it. In this case, for what Saturn will be functional maleficent planet. Similar to the above: Where Mars would show it character – natural or functional.

Saturn is limiting. So, as the ruler of the 3^rd house it tends to limit the relatives, the closest human relationships. Communication with them too, making it difficult. But in contrast, it will act great (as maleficent planet with maleficent events), when it comes to the initiative and determination, when it comes to fighting. Ambition and tenacity definitely will not lack. As the 3^rd house is associated with personal desires and goals, Saturn concentrates and shapes them into something specific. And it causes separation, loss, loss of relatives, associates, close relationships. Man is too emotionally centered in himself.

The tasks of the 4^th house are associated with the feeling of comfort, home, inner peace. Which will also be connected with difficulties and limitations. The man will hardly feel at home somewhere, he will tend to move regularly or at least to change his environment for short. Most often through short trips here or there. Saturn will manifest its nature a functional and natural maleficent planet much more noticeable on the works of the 4^th house as it stands in the 11^th house (the 8^th house, counted from the 4^th).

What does the position of Saturn in the 11^th house tell us? As I pointed out, the 11^th house is associated with success in general. The ruler of this house gets the status of functional maleficent planet, but the planets that stand in the 11^th house prosper. Each planet in the 11^th house is penchant to abundance, achieving different goals and desires through visible achievements. This is an important detail.

The naturally maleficent planets particularly tend to weaken their maleficent influence over the years. Saturn will therefore tend to give success and benefits associated with the 3^rd and 4^th houses – success through associates and relatives, real estates, through any form of communication, trips, speeches, writing, personal activity. The restrictive nature of Saturn will certainly mitigate the social circles - they will be carefully selected based on personal interests, although it may seem the opposite at first glance as there is an abundance of all kinds and various social contacts.

But the position especially of a ruler of the 3^rd house, standing in the 11^th house, is extremely beneficial as it helps to carry out any personally incurred intent. How much it is beneficial in the broad sense, is another story. But it is for the man himself. The negative side of it all (for the others) is the strong egocentricity.

As a conclusion I will clarify that the aspects between the planets are not included in the interpretation model. They always bring additional modifications.
