Super foods for the detoxification of the body before Easter

Spring has come along with the time for detoxification of the body. Which are the best foods that help us to get back into good shape quickly and easily?

1. Lemons

This is the ultimate fruit with regard to detoxification, since it contains vitamin C which removes unwanted toxins. Your liver loves lemons, and therefore various diets offer hot water with lemon as the best detoxifying drink.

2. Spinach

When in difficulty, Popeye the sailor opens a can of spinach. However, you should prefer fresh spinach. It is low in sodium and cholesterol, and studies have included it in the list of foods which help us achieve our ideal weight. Therefore, be sure to include pineapple in your diet!

5. Artichoke

 

This is all you need for your detoxification. Furthermore, now it is in season, so do not hesitate to include it in your diet. It is a natural diuretic, which helps the digestion and improves the functioning of the gallbladder. It also relieves gastro-intestinal problems. An artichoke contains 85% water and therefore is associated with urinary tract health, while at the same time it is rich in fibre, protein, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, and zinc.

It is no accident that green tea has found its place in most diets. It disintegrates fats, increases the rate of fat burning in the body and contains epigallocatechin which activates fat-burning genes, thus accelerating the desired weight loss.

7. String bean

 

It is no coincidence that it is called "the meat of the poor". It contains few calories, but at the same time a lot of nutrients - vitamins A, B and C, K, dietary fibre and manganese. It is also a good source of folic acid and minerals, iron, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus.

8. Asparagus

 

This vegetable is considered to be the aristocrat of vegetables and is a real weapon in your hands. It is a unique source of nutrients contributing to physical and mental health. It contains several anti-inflammatory ingredients fighting arthritis and asthma. It is known to have anti-aging properties and contains folic acid.

9. Garlic

 

You may associate it with tzatziki dip and its characteristic odour, but it is detoxifying, energizes and strengthens the immune system. If you consume it regularly, you will reduce your levels of cholesterol and blood pressure. It even fights bacteria and fungi, reducing the risk of infection and food poisoning from dangerous microbes.
