The 28-year-old Ukrainian confessed to the Thessaloniki investigating authorities that he had killed Pavlina Angelova, aged 34, as reported by the Greek "Ethnos" newspaper. In his testimony that shocked the investigators he states that he was a client of the victim from whom he wanted an erotic programme, including violence.

Leaks of information from the investigation services indicate that this was his first visit to the woman. The Ukrainian stated before the investigator that the situation was out of control during the session and that he had told the woman to stop but she would not listen. Consequently, he attacked her with a kitchen knife and killed her.

In an attempt to justify his actions, the 28-year-old man stated that he was defending himself. His words convinced neither the investigator nor the prosecutor who ordered that he be sent to custody.

The Ukrainian has been in Greece since 2008 and worked as a theatre technician and waiter.

As GRReporter informed yesterday the murder was committed in the flat of the 34-year-old Bulgarian woman, where she received clients with preferences for sadomasochistic games. One of the rooms in the flat was equipped to be used for providing this kind of sexual services.
