Attracting more visitors to Greece - that is the goal of the new website "WE Discover Greece", a project powered by Marketing Greece, which was presented at Hotel Grande Bretagne.

The presentation involved the main developers of the project, who unveiled the features and benefits of this new website as well as their goals.

Andreas Andriadis, President of Marketing Greece, spoke first, sharing his pride in the strong administration and the business achievements attained during his presidency. He stated that the idea of the project is to develop Greek tourism in a new way and make the market competitive in order for it to satisfy the expectations of visitors, taking advantage of the popularity of tourism in Greece, as well as to make Greece a popular destination throughout the world.

Vassilis Linakis, Co founder and IT director of Linakis Digital, explained the importance of technology in the project since its objective is to develop a unique global portal that combines technology and creativity. He stated that in addition to the web-based features, the website offers a booking service via websites like Skyscanner.

Aris Pilitsopoulos, Marketing Manager, said that it is important to be aware of the needs of visitors, which is the goal of marketing, in order to satisfy them. The portal is targeted not only at regular tourists from France or the UK, but also at visitors from developing countries like China or Russia, its aim being to attract and satisfy specific visitors to different locations (e.g. the city and beach), encouraging them to share their experience with other people when they return home.

Thrasy Petropoulos, Head of PR, explained that in order to attract the attention of people, the website content is very important which is why it presents a lot of photos and videos, thus offering a creative story-telling.
