A 116.5 million euro black hole in PASOK’s cash

Are there black holes in funds of other parties besides PASOK? Is there evidence for George Papandreou’s argument that other parties have accumulated large debts in a much shorter period of time?

We should make it clear that when we talk about a black hole in party finances we have excessive borrowing in mind. Other parties also have large liabilities, because they have been following the mad pace of government loans in previous years. But now, following budget cuts imposed on citizens, they must say what they have spent each euro on. At the same time, the finalisation of public financing of political parties has already been discussed and they should only be supported by donations from private individuals.
