Legislation introduced during the junta period and unchanged to this day cause the Hellenic Volleyball Federation to have no clear idea of where its money goes and what is the amount due to 120 sports associations.
As the Greek sports website www.sport.gr reports, the frustration of 120 sport associations waiting for their money, grows larger and larger. Soon they plan to convene an extraordinary meeting at which to censure the work of current board of the federation and even to set a date for new election. The main argument for the actions of the associations is the lack of confidence in the management of the federation and its inability to deal with the serious problems that Greek volleyball struggles today.

Daskalakis argued that his withdrawal from the position should not be a problem for anyone. According to him, the question is purely general nature and it is time for someone new to take his place. Daskalakis also stressed for the need to create a new idea of Greek volleyball. In his words, public subsidization of sports in Greece is coming to its end and associations need to prepare for new times and new way of working. Like other sports volleyball must be developing and looking for sponsors, but to achieve what was promised as well.
The website also informs about the announcement by the General Secretary of the Volleyball Federation Kiriakidis Angelos, who provides more than one change in the statutes of the federation. According to Kiriakidis the law includes statutes, which were introduced during the time of the junta and they have not been changed due to lack of opposition...
