Markos Baghdatis. Baghdatis who has already prepared a working schedule for the new year, wants to set the grounds for a longer process of improving his physical condition. Tennis player’s plan for 2010 includes an intensive training schedule, which will allow him to achieve the desired physical condition.
Intensive practices will definitely pressure him a lot, however he says he is not afraid of overwork. Furthermore, this exactly is his goal. Baghdatis, who is one of the few tennis players entered in the top 10 of the world rank list before even wining a higher category tournament, says he wants to change his way of work and the way he thinks of tennis.
For him now is not important only today’s day, but also tomorrow and he is getting ready for it since now. From 2010 he expects no so much a great success, but hard preparation and everyday work on his body, so in the next 5 – 6 years to be able to be one of the best tennis players in the world. First positive changes in his physical records he expects to see in 4 – 5 months. As number one goal for the new year the Cyprus player sets his health.
For the open championship in Australia he says he will try to achieve maximum results, however more important, than this is to practice hard. Famous for his backhand coach Eduardo Infantino is currently helping the tennis player. Infantino, whom Baghdatis calls “serious and strict leader”, has managed to surround him with a group of professionals who take care of his progress every day.
