The Greek police are trying to connect the robbery on the island of Spetses with a 42-year-old thief who was caught and convicted for robbing a supermarket in the Athens neighbourhood of "Zografou" in January 1999. When he was freed from prison, he seemed to have become an accomplice of the famous criminal Costas Pasaris. He was arrested again in 2001 at the point for a motorway toll payment at Afidnes. Whether they are the same who robbed the bank on the island of Paros still remains a secret.
