Summer, fortunately for some and unfortunately for others, is over and the first signs of autumn can already be seen. The change of seasons is natural and adapting to such changes is something everyone should be able to cope with.
The more flexible we are to changes, the better it is for us, our health, our psychology and our degree of happiness in this world. Follow the changes in the autumn and just stay healthy, adopting a better approach than simply taking care of your summer memories.
Every season, every change, no matter what the reason, happens in order to give you something. You have only to open yourself up and accept them.
1. Eat seasonal fruits
Choose seasonal fruits and vegetables, not those from the greenhouse. Each season offers a choice. Some of the autumn ones are grapes, kiwi, broccoli, eggplant, spinach, sweet potatoes, apples, pears and leeks. Be inspired by them and centre your autumnal menu on them – leaving the tomatoes until next year.
2. Eat "the colours" of the season
The more colourful a fruit is, the more beneficial it is to your health and immune system. Strive to place warm autumn colours on your plate and take advantage of all the nutrients that this range of colours offers. Dark green, bright yellow and bright orange are the colours that should be sought in the grocery store every autumn.
3. Strengthen your immune system
Strengthen your body before the viruses and viral diseases of winter start appearing. Drink plenty of water, eat raw foods to get the most out of their nutritive potential, eat garlic, vitamins B, C and D and slowly start practicing gymnastics.
4. Train
During the summer doing sport is easy, just walking. The mellow climate of Autumn requires a little more dedication.
5. Enjoy the season
Take this opportunity and change your life. Find some time for yourself, dedicate autumn evenings to planning ahead and taking the decisions that the summer sun did not allow you to make. Autumn is the season for searching for new goals, mainly those concerning the achievement of personal happiness, but you must not forget those that relate to life's wider horizons.
