Events: December 9Akram Khan’s DESH The DESH dance show by one of the most successful dancers and choreographers, Akram Khan, will be presented in Athens this December. DESH means 'homeland' in Bengali language and tells the story of Khan’s way from Britain to Bangladesh, the resistance of the human spirit in an unstable world. Events: December 10Photo exhibition of Helmut Newton in Athens 13 November 2012 - 3 March 2013. The exhibition presents the main themes of his work: fashion, nude, portrait, sex, humour. The exhibition includes 196 colour and black and white photographs of all major themes of his work, such as the series «A gun for Hire, Fired», «Villa d 'Este», «Habillé / Déshabillé» and «Domestic Nudes» as well as many portraits of representatives of the fashion and entertainment industry. It is organized in cooperation with Helmut Newton Foundation founded in Berlin by the photographer himself some years before his death. 100 Years of a Living Art - history of the Greek costume Greek national costumes are exhibited in the Museum on 7, Dimokritou Street in the metropolitan district of Kolonaki. It is organized on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Lyceum of Greek Women. The exhibition presents a small part of the collection of the Lyceum, which includes over 25,000 items.
