On occasion of the exhibition "Samothrace. The Mysteries of the Great Gods" the Acropolis Museum is running a photo competition on the social network Instagram, entitled "My Samothraki Exhibition".

The idea is for the museum and participants together to create a digital exhibition entitled #MySamothrakiExhibition, in which memories and experiences of Samothrace will unite with the archaeological mysteries of the island.

If you:

have explored the mysteries of Samothrace,

have gone climbing or hiking on the island,

have gone camping with friends,

have been swimming at the famous terraces (vatres) or in the sea

have tried the local cuisine,

then the Acropolis Museum invites you to post on Instagram the photos of your experiences using the hashtag #MySamothrakiExhibition and the one that describes the following categories in the best possible way: #MySamothrakiMysteries, #MySamothrakiClimbing, #MySamothrakiCamping, #MySamothrakiSwimming, #MySamothrakiEating.

The competition prizes include souvenirs from the museum shop, participation in the evening presentation of the periodic exhibition "Samothrace. The Mysteries of the Great Gods" by archaeologists and restorers, or a lunch at the museum restaurant with a menu of Samothrace.

Read the conditions for participation in the competition. The final date for posting the photos is 30 November 2015.
