The month of December is the final term which the new coach of football team of AEK, Manolo Jiménez set to form a definitive new look team. Although Jiménez is currently pleased with the behavior of his players and the atmosphere that reigns on the pitch, he noted that changes in the team will only be achieved with... hard work.

"Things can not be changed with a magic wand" – he states. "What I can do is to work hard to pass the experience and knowledge that I have to the team and to the Greek football. I am confident that by December we will present a very good team. Nothing will be lost and will not miss a single game. I express my gratitude to my former colleagues, but I want to impose my ideas" - he said. The Spaniard provides for changes in the game for the team but stated that they will not be drastic, as it would be madness to do otherwise.

He stresses that he has his own views on football and during practices he does not plan to strengthen only one line of the team. "The best defense is attack. In order to have a strong attack, we must play good defense. I like the teams which show a complete game, with both organized attack and defense, always neat" - says the coach from Sevilla, who will receive 1.3 million euros if AEK has a successful season.

For games which the yellow and black team are about to play with Aris on 17.10 Jiménez urges players to do their best and to pursue victory. As it can be seen, however, the rapid success will not be the target of the team. Instead of focusing on them Jiménez prefers to impose a new philosophy in order to have success in the long run. "I do not want to play two good games and then to lose" – he explains.

The games which the teams will play on the stadium Kleanthis Vikelidis in Thessaloniki will certainly be a difficult one. For 11 years in a row AEK has been unbeatable on the field of Aris. The hosts aim at winning at any price and are highly motivated to fight the fatal tradition that pursued them. Intentionally or not, AEK is the only team which every time leaves Thessaloniki with three points or in the worst case with only one. Being coach of the Thessaloniki team, Raul Cooper said: "The tradition motivates the players even more".
