Ugly scenes that will save the darkest pages in the history of Greek football rocked El Paso stadium in Athens. Minutes after the end of the friendly match between the football teams AEK and Kallithea AEK fans invaded the course and started hitting with their hands Dusan Bayevich. Coach of the yellow and black team was brought down to the ground and the police was making suspicious attempts to stop the hooligans. Compromising scenes began after the yellow and black team lost against Kallithea with 2:1. This was the first failure of AEK since the team began its preparations. Shortly before the end of the match the AEK fans started a fight between each other for unknown reasons. After the end of the game they rushed on the course and some of them attacked the coach, who was approaching the locker rooms. The strike of the first hooligan encouraged the others and consequently they brought Bayevich down on the ground. After less than a minute Bayevich stood up and with the help of police and his players withdraw from the course
The president of the yellow and black team Stavros Adamidis called what happened at the stadium an internal sabotazh. "This is an internal sabotazh. What happened is shameful. We support the coach, who is currently in a shock. Nobody expected such course of the events. Especially during a friendly match in the period in which the team is trying to find its way .. We will do everything in our power to capture the fans and to dissociate them "- told NOVA SPOR FM Adamidis.
Frustrated withdraw from the stadium also one of the largest shareholders of AEK Petros Pappas. Before friends of the team he said that under these circumstances his foot will not step in the stadium any more.
Enraged to the extreme was also the coach of Kallithea, Stathis Statopoulos. "It is a shame on us all for such things to happen. My family is at the stadium and I am afraid for it. These are the pictures that spoil the image of the Greek football and of Greece as a whole. Is it possible to strike Bayevich? What has he done to them? How come 1000 people were at the stadium? Such things can happen only in Greece... We can not do anything properly in this country ... I can not believe this really happened, it is tragic .. Imagine what would happen if this wasn’t a friendly match. "
