Multinational companies are withdrawing from Greece

The economic instability, reduced market demand and the often changing taxes are the main reasons for the withdrawal of many large international corporations from Greece. Apparently the trend for reduced sales and lower profits will continue for at least another three years

He presented the annual report on corruption in the public sector, and a reason for his remark was the case of an official sanction of a flights dispatcher at the regional airport, who overslept because her phone battery run out and her alarm didn’t go off, and as a result of that she didn’t go to work on time and the regular service flight of an aircraft was canceled.

Two billion euro borrowed Greece in order to launch the National program for strategic development

This is the biggest credit which Greece has ever drawn from the European bank. The loan is for a period of 25 years with 7 years grace period. It covers 50% of the required four billion euros from the state to launch projects with funding from the national framework for strategic development.

A wave of price increases in Greece due to the new VAT of 23%

A striking increase of the prices of goods and services after another increase of the Value added tax. Starting with first of July this year the main tax rate becomes 23% from the current 21%.
