"Long live the streets and the hip-hop music!" said again this fall hundreds of Greek youngsters who had gathered for the third in a row Festival of hip-hop music in Athens. Like previous years, now again they showed that they are ready to face the fall in the city with crazy hip-hop musical "talk down". Athens Hip Hop Festival was held for the third consecutive year, and its heart was beating in Technopolis. The host of the music fest was the inspirer and "soul" of the popular "Thessaloniki Hip Hop Festival" Alex Zoltan and Lagnis. Until the late hours of Saturday evening the hearts of the young audiences were warmed up by Dj The Boy, Dj - dimiourgos QBMix, and also Dj Noiz.
The festival has become a tradition which at the beginning of the autumn gathers hundreds of young people in Athens, fans of hip-hop rhythms who strongly desire to share aloud their thoughts, music, rhythm and emotion to the audience and to themselves. Verbal threats from the stage or to the stage to the beat of the music were creating an ongoing dialogue a type of outtalk. In the "battle" for verbal survival the winner is always the fastest and most witty in his answers. The talk down with verses to the rhythm of music is so authentic that it is as if it came from the streets of Bronx. In the MCs Battle, in which everyone is fighting to show the best poetry and fastest response word for word, rhyme for rhyme the best reach the top.
The festival is gaining popularity and each year more and more bands participate in it. This year, the diversity on the stage was really great. Their thoughts "cried" out loud starting with the most independent groups, authentic "street" gangs to some of the best in the genre, already known by the Greek audience artists... The performers Midenistis, Eisvoleas, Giants, Phyrosun, Orthologistes, Apeheis, Neon and T. Lathos presented old and new songs that showed how modern is the rhythm of hip-hop in Athens.
In Athens Hip Hop Festival participated also true masters of the break dance. 8 of the best groups in the country drove the audience crazy with their performances. As it is inherent to the "street parties", the music was full of exploding combinations of incredible break dance routines and most provocative poems. The quality and authenticity of the event took care Tolis Aristidou, the most experienced and most important on the stage in Greece sponsor of break dance festivals.
