With a score of 108-61 ended the basketball game between the teams of Panathinaikos and PAOK, which was played on the OAKA pitch in Athens. The reason for the huge difference in results lies not so much in the superiority of the home team tonight as much as in the number of players of PAOK. The team appeared in the Olympic complex only with its 5 foreign players, as the Greek players are on strike. The non typical game was also held in non typical atmosphere. The hall in OAKA was half empty, a fact which should bother the hosts, having in mind that this was the first game of the greens on their field. In those circumstances, the game seemed more like a practice rather than a match. The fight was really unequal. Panathinaikos made a party and Obradovic used the chance to try all of his players. They of course, had no problem to cope with the task. The players of PAOK found themselves in the unpleasant situation of not being able to even take a breath... Changes the team could not happen.

From the outset Panathinaikos imposed its rhythm. It quickly took the lead and at the end of the first 10 minutes it led by 13 points. Signal to attack gave the player Perperoglou, who scored the first points and boosted the team. Over time, the difference in the score was increasing. The team of PAOK on the other hand was in mate position from the very beginning, and struggled for a breath of air. But in the uneven battle even that proved impossible. The hosts were advancing in the score with the speed of light. I was no surprise for anyone that the first half ended with the score 54-22. Tepic, Perperoglou and Fotsis had strong performances. It became clear to everyone that the result can not be reversed that night, even a miracle could not help the guests.

The overtime of the game continued in the same spirit. The difference in the score even reached 47 points. The final result is an evidence not of the weakness of the guests, but of the unsolved problems of basketball in Greece.Listen
