Burger Project’s hot heads on a summer tour

You will really have a great time if you go to a concert of Burger Project because the words that describe the musicians best are "creative madness". They are the only Greek band that remakes tracks ranging from Clash to Alice Cooper and from Greek traditional to pop music. They have their audience and care about their appearance as much as for their sound as they believe that clothes are an important element for the concerts.

Where does all this madness of the four come from? They say that when they were kids they had seen their elder classmates playing in bands and they wanted to move with them. But it did not happen, so they decided to make their own band to be together. So, one beautiful morning the jazz contrabass player General Conzou decided to make his dream real - to create a band of musicians to play remakes in their own style and make the beautiful girls from the city dance to the rhythms of their music. He immediately called the charming singer and guitarist of the band, who he had recently seen playing in a great theatrical performance with the talented drummer who, if you have not seen him live, you would think he has four hands. The latter two are Al the X King and Mosch Holiday, respectively.

The two young men accepted the invitation and hastened to invite the great maestro of the contemporary Arabic music, who they believe would arrange their ideas. Maestro Cosmic Communist had nothing more interesting to do at that time and with a small advance payment and the promise of the three enthusiastic musicians for groups, sleepless nights and gold joined the incredible band.

Their name Burger Project is due mostly to their love of burgers, but at the same time it is associated with the idea of the consumer illness and the American way of life - "fast-stress overweight." Their music is a professional mix of swing, reggae, punk, country, Caribbean music, electro and disco. These are the styles that inspire the boys from Burger Project, but when you hear their remakes they are completely different in style from the originals. Otherwise, the audience gets crazy hearing their performance of Take My Breath Away and White Horse perhaps because of the social message of the verses: Ιf you wanna be rich you got to be a beach.

The first and only album so far is We Live in Athens and it was released by Sony Music, and 2000 copies were sold only during the first few months. On stage you would see them dressed as a priest in a cassock, a stripper in black leather pants with suspenders, a yuppie with a tie and a tsolyas dressed in a traditional Greek costume. "This is our comment that we make to the society through the four personas from the album. If we add a policeman and a crazy man to them the notion of the modern "Greek village" will be complete. Let alone the teacher, because there is no education in the country...," said they for the Elle magazine. They usually find the apparel for the performances in the wardrobes of their mothers, grandmothers, sisters, girlfriends and in the shops for second hand clothes. According to them, their style helps the aesthetics of the overall presentation of the band and intrigues the audience, but they themselves have fun too. And here is where you can join the audience and see them live:
