Cheap and effective ways to clean your car

The crisis has made many people carefully spend even the smallest amounts of money. In this sense, today, many drivers consider unnecessary the expense of having their car washed in a car wash for excellent results. Here are a few tips on how you yourself can keep your car clean using only materials at hand.

It turns out that hair conditioners do wonders not only for making your hair shiny, but also for polishing the paint of the car. If washed with hair conditioner, the surface of the car repels raindrops and gets dirty more slowly.

Rain after a long dry period turns windscreens into a muddy mess. To get rid of dirty stains and streaks left by the wipers, pour cola over the glass but first, stretch a towel along the windscreen to protect the paint on the bonnet. The fizzy drink will remove the grime and will not allow the glass to easily get dirty again.

Make sure to thoroughly wash the sticky fluid from the glass before you go. If you do not want to pour cola over the windscreen, you can use baby wipes. They not only keep your beloved ones clean, but also provide immediate results in restoring visibility on the road.

Vodka can also help maintain the excellent cleanliness of the windscreen. You can make yourself a mixture of three cups of vodka (the cheapest one, of course), four cups of water and a teaspoon of floor detergent and fill the washer reservoir of the windscreen with it. Shake well before that and you can be sure that you will have excellent results.

If you are travelling and you do not have any vodka or floor detergent and the reservoir of the wipers is empty, then you can resort to non-standard actions. The sticky side of a sanitary pad does wonders. Rub the dirt vigorously and the glass will shine according to those who have already tried the method.

Sometimes, the wipers themselves get dusty and dirty, which leads to questionable results while using them. Make a solution of 1/4 cup of ammonia in a litre of water. Shake the mixture well and clean both sides of the wipers with the aid of a soft cloth or a paper towel dipped in the solution. Then, dry the wipers before putting them back into place.

You can pour the same solution into a plastic bottle, which you can leave in the boot and use to clean the windscreens and the side mirrors. Do not forget to dry to make the surface crystal clear.

Clean headlights are important to your safety. Cleaning them with window cleaner using old tights will give the desired effect.

Mix 1/4 cup of baking soda with the same amount of dishwashing detergent and some water. When it is time to wash your car, shake the mixture vigorously, pour one cup of concentrate into seven litres of slightly warm water and stir, and your homemade cleanser is ready.

The machine oil on the car in combination with road dust and dirt often can damage the car. Sprinkle with cream of tartar and then, wipe with soapy water, rinse and dry and there will be no trace of the stains and dirt.

To avoid coating the car with a special wax before washing it, you can make a solution of one cup of kerosene and 11 litres of water. The next time it rains, the rainwater will flow off much faster, which will reduce the likelihood of rusting.

Do not wash your car when it is too hot or when the engine has heated the lid or the sun has heated the car. The likelihood of soap stains on the paint significantly increases after the "bath".

Water makes ugly stripes on the car if you drive it wet. After washing it, use a chamois or a soft terry cloth to dry it. If you use an old wiper to remove the water, make sure that there is no debris to avoid scratching the paint.
