Clean Monday requires... an appetizer and ouzo

Since everybody is looking for an excuse to go out, let's see what some of the Athenian restaurants are preparing in order for us to enjoy ouzo with octopus and seafood.

To Piato tis Voulas

On Clean Monday, To Piato tis Voulas restaurant in Paleo Faliro, and its new establishment in Psiri are preparing home-made traditional appetizers for lunch, such as octopus with lemon, steamed mussels, mussel pilaf, zucchini balls, mushrooms, bean salad, “taramosalata”, chickpeas, stuffed cabbage, squid with spinach, squids, fried clams with garlic, shrimps, shrimps with pasta and other delicious dishes.

Berdema

Especially for this day, Berdema in Kifissia is preparing a lunch menu with vegetarian appetizers from Istanbul and live Greek music, so that you can celebrate the day with friends. Fly your kite on Syngrou and go and enjoy delicious appetizers and ouzo.

Orizontes Likavitou

The special menu is full of vegetarian appetizers and seafood. Fly your kites over the city and enjoy modern dishes prepared for you by chef Savvas Kontoudis and chef George Zevgolatakos. Be sure to try the potato cream with truffles, mussels steamed in wine, roasted squid with “taramosalata” and chickpeas, pasta with shrimp and semolina cake with orange and bitter chocolate sauce.

Menoo

On Clean Monday, the all-day deli restaurant Menoo in Kifissia offers a relaxing mood and vegetarian dishes. The a la carte menu includes a large selection of traditional dishes such as “taramosalata”, peas with fried onions and capers, artichokes a la polita, stuffed cabbage, zucchini balls, mussels with lemon, fried squid, pasta with octopus, mussel pilaf and many others.

Trocadero

The Metropolitan Hotel is also preparing something special on Clean Monday in its restaurant Le Trocadero. A rich buffet with many vegetarian dishes from traditional Greek cuisine will await you with... musical accompaniment.

Alexandra

Traditional Greek cuisine is a favourite here at Alexandra, located opposite Panathineia Park. On Clean Monday, a lot of meatless dishes are prepared here: peas with capers, octopus pasta, beans with spinach, chickpeas, artichokes a la polita, grilled octopus and many more...

Kokotou Winery

If you want to enjoy fresh air and fly your kite, consider the alternative offered by Kokotou Winery in Stamata. There, you'll have plenty of space to walk and enjoy the wines of the house as well as the dishes prepared by Menoo catering. You will try aubergine salad, bean salad with spring onion and parsley, shrimps with lemon and olive oil, pastry, squid with spinach and many other traditional dishes. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the organization "Together for the child".
