Cyprus is shaken after tomb raiders stole the body of the former president Thasos Papadopoulos from his grave. A former member of Papadopoulos’ security who went at the grave to light a grave-lamp informed the police of the theft. Police units are located at the “Devteras” cemetery, and the whole family of president was present.
The vandalistic act took place on Thursday night, and the requiem for the death anniversary was planned for today.
The Cyprus parliament chairman, Marios Karoyan, defined the incident as “cruel and outrageous crime.”
