The island of Skiathos ranks first, with an increase of about 350% of the demand for flight slots to the airport of the island. The most popular destinations have also marked an increase: Mykonos - +40%, Santorini - +30%, Rhodes - +28%, Kefalonia -+26%, Iraklio - +25%, and Chania - +14%.
Data of the Athens airport for the first 4 months of the year show that 2014 will be a year of the return of flights and demand for air travel.
Both Greek and foreign airlines are enjoying an increase and are now expanding their schedules in order to win passengers. The fact that the increase in foreign arrivals in Greece is increasing is encouraging. The demand for travel within the country – a sector, which was seriously struggling last year - is also marking a revival.
