Eggs are one of the gifts of nature and... hens. In some countries, eggs of many species of birds are used, but the most commonly used ones are chicken eggs.

We can enjoy them prepared in many ways. For breakfast, they are usually fried or boiled, as well as cooked in an omelette with whatever you want to add in it. And if a plate with two poached eggs with juicy yolks and two slices of bread is a wonderful thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are many ways to enjoy eggs at any time of the day.

Put it back in the oven until the egg whites are ready, but do not let the yolks set.

You can prepare it even without being a specialist in Chinese cuisine. Once the rice is cooked, break a few eggs into a deep frying pan or wok and cook them before you add all other ingredients: onions, peppers, corn, and rice. This idea is very suitable for leftover rice.

Sandwich with a boiled egg

Boiled eggs are a good and easy solution for difficult times when you are hungry. You can slice a boiled egg and put it on a sandwich with fresh whole-wheat bread, a few slices of tomato and a little pesto to taste. Bread’s vegetable fibres, lycopene from tomatoes and nutrients from the egg will raise the nutritional value of the food, although it is only a sandwich. Egg goes on sandwiches with many other ingredients, such as bacon, ham, corn, cucumber, lettuce, etc.

Canapé with eggs

If you really want to take care of your guests and not serve just fries or pretzels, try to prepare a version of boiled eggs, which became a favourite in the 1980s. Mix the egg yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, salt, pepper and a little paprika and refill the egg whites. It may seem old fashioned, but it is very tasty, nutritional and looks nice.

Smoothie

If you want to prepare a truly fortifying juice, add a raw egg to the ingredients. Athletes usually apply this tactic, but everyone who wants a little more energy in their daily life can do the same. Put fruits like grapes, bananas or berries in a juicer, then add an egg and low fat yogurt. In this way, every glass will contain 9 grams of protein, plus vitamins and a lot of potassium.

“Kayanas”orstrapatsada”, or just tomatoes with eggs

No matter how you call this wonderful dish, it is surely prepared by mixing fresh tomatoes, eggs and olive oil. You can leave the eggs to cook whole in a pan in the juice from the tomatoes or mix them. For more options, you can add minced meat or sausages.

Pie with spinach and eggs

Cooked spinach or spinach with rice may not be your favourite meal. However, if you add a delicious egg and some sheets of pastry, then it becomes a tasty dish. Sauté half a kilogramme of spinach with a little onion and garlic. Then add 3 eggs, salt and pepper and mix well. Pour the mixture over several sheets of phyllo (filo) pastry, and grate about 250 grams of cheese on top. Put it in the oven until ready.
