I will continue with the essential elements of horoscope in this article. I will pay serious attention to the aspects as deceptions and false statements stem from them mainly in forecasts.

I called Astrology “geometry of life” in my first article. Greek civilization has given the modern people the ability to objectively and rationally understand the integrity of earthly existence, including the human too. Pythagoras and some of the Greek philosophers have emphasized the symbolic and sacred sense of geometry, which is actually the science of form in time. The circle has always been regarded as the “perfect shape”, ie the form of the perfect whole. All other forms were seen as derivatives of the circle and have resulted in the process of fission.

Lunar cycle, which I’ve explained, is a cycle of mutual connection between the two lights. This is the basic cycle in astrology, because it reflects the connection between two objects moving at different speeds. So, when talking about aspect between two planets it is considered a specific phase of their cyclical relationship.

There are eight lunar phases differentiated. They are obtained when divided by  2, in  geometric progression. This is the primary fission of the circle. Then comes dividing by 3. The fission in 2 and 3 results in the main aspects used in astrology.

The fission in two creates a series of aspects that are considered “unfavourable, bad, and disharmonious”. These are:

• Opposition - 180 °

• Square - 90 °

• Semi-square - 45 °

• Square and a half - 135 °

Dividing the circle by 3 results in the “nice, harmonious” aspects:

• Trigono - 120 °

• Sexstile - 60 °

• Semisextile - 30 °

• Conjunct (also called intersection, compound) is a separate category of aspect. It does not fall into the “negative” aspects, or into the “harmonious” ones. This aspect represents the primary, the beginning. As the new moon.

Almost all the available literature on astrological aspects obtained after fission in 2 generally gives the following definition:
”Unfavourable, disharmonious, difficult aspects; they contain and cause tension, obstacles, restrictions.”

The definition for the aspects resulting from the division by 3 is:
”Favorable, harmonious, creating ease and comfort, creative, show talents; give luck, proper and effective act.”

Let's have an inside look of the things and not skate on a banana peel. Everyone knows what will happen when someone steps on it.

There are two main things on which I would like to dwell in this context:

1. Everyone in astrology somehow very quickly perceives the “bad, tense” and the “good, friendly” aspects. The emphasis is more on the type of aspect than on the planets that are involved. Square aspect - 90° - and the rest of the series, represents conditions which are apparently a thorn in our lives. But these thorns are in no case a factor of bad luck, non-prosperity. Trigono - 120° (and the rest of this series) - in turn, is not a factor for prosperity, luck and abundance in any case.

How you will interpret each aspect depends primarily on the planets involved in it.

For example, Trigono aspect between Mars and Saturn is usually considered to be favorable, while the square between the same two planets is considered an adverse one. This method of interpretation is one of the largest banana peels, because it ignores the inherent characteristics of the participating planets. Two bullies are two bullies – no matter how we see them and in what relationship we place them. In one case they will fight together against someone else, on the other – against one another.

In his Tetrabiblos, Ptolemy mentions specific aspects rarely. He writes mostly about “association” between the planets, “testimony and eyes” of one planet to another. The fact that Ptolemy hardly talks about the kind of aspects between the planets make us conclude that more important is which two planets are mutually related and looking to each other, rather than what is the type of this relation.

2. The religion - either west or east - talks about “fall” of man at birth from a state of unity with God in a state of separation from Him. This “fall” is actually “drop” in actual human  earthly incarnation, birth. And from a religious perspective this is seen as a tragedy for the human spirit. “Exemption” is return to unity, relief from this state of duality and separateness. It is perfectly understandable why, on purely emotional and biological level, man is so strongly attracted to and obsessed with sex. Because only in the sexual act he feels this state of “unity and integrity.”

The number 2 is the symbol of real polarized state. And exactly this number creates the series of “bad, disharmonious” aspects, when dividing the circle in 2. It refers to the process of birth, materializing, incarnation in earthly form. How can this process be considered negative?! This is solely in terms of the religious doctrine for unity with God. Because the spirit has lost in a sense its “purity” and its integrity, when it was “rushed” in matter.

I will repeat something I wrote in the article about the lunar nodes.

Every living creature, the whole creation is the result of an imbalance! A result from a lack of balance.

Nothing, absolutely nothing can be created, no creative energy in nature, if everything is frozen in perfect balance.

Hence, the so-called negative and disharmonious aspects are the main driving force of life, of creation, of the happening. Yes, they create tension. Tension that is necessary to create an imbalance to cause things happen and create. A person should make an effort, put some tension even to breathe and move.
