Now that summer has not yet finished, but still many Athenians have returned at their work places there is no reason to despair. Of course, that in our ears we can still hear the roaring sound of the sea and the waves, and our thoughts are left on the shore ... But this is not the end of the world! We can get our friends and go to amusement park Allou. To have something to eat, to have some fun, for a dose of adrenalin and to refresh. Just to refresh came here also Raya and Eva in the warm afternoon in August. We find the two girls in crazy fever to fill buckets with water and one by one to pour them over each other’s heads. Park Allou foresaw that in the warm summer days people need some coolness... The girls eagerly drawing water from the pump and rinsing with joyful screams. No dry thread is left on them in the literal sense.They are rinsing with water and filling the buckets again and again. They say that if they could they would have done this all summer so. Watching them laughing joyfully I believe them completely. They have been playing with the buckets of water since 15.00 o’clock and do not intend to leave the park before dark. They want to try also the other entertainments of Allou. The park also has a dryer for those visitors who have "cooled down", but to Eva and Rania that had not even occurred to get dried off. In laughter they told me that would also travel home in the bus like this.
Even if you do not enter in the water in the park, one can really relax here. There is time until 01.00 o’clock at night to come and plunge into La Isla for a row among the swift flowing rivers and waterfalls. To see a panoramic view one can board the Ferris wheel and make a few circles. The park also has something to offer the film fans. And not just anything. Allou Park offers screenings in 4D hall with chairs, which depending on the film are splashing water, emit steam, spinning in 360 degrees or vibrate. Guarantee that you will feel every moment of the film on your skin is one hundred percent.
Specialty of the park are the thrill rides. These include ball 6 G, which has two seats, and which shoots into the sky and a ball 5 G with four seats at the end of a long crane that moves like a pendulum. Here is also the Top Spin, two arms and a wagon that turns 360 degrees. This is all for the excitement seekers. For those who do not need large doses of adrenaline Allou offers fun rides games such as Roller Coaster Apple, Water Tunnel of Fear Cape Fear and Spinning Coaster Crazy Mouse. Here are also the classic type of games for every fun-fair such as Shooting Bar, Monkey Rugby, Rings and of course Bumping carts. The park also has facilities for bowling, mini Soccer courses, internet cafe, retail shops and Village Park.
Athens doesn’t have a theme park which in size and quality to compete with those in other European cities. There is, however, this amusement place, which since 2002 has great success in entertaining the Athenians.
I leave the park and the top of the shock tower, I hear promises of a child to have breakfast in the morning, only to come down to the ground. Then followed screams of fear, then laughter...
