Μetallica, Slayer, Μegadeth and Αnthrax will play on June 24^th on the stage of Terra Vibe at the Malakasa stadium near Athens. The news has already been confirmed from the central office of the Big Four tour and since yesterday the date of the concert has been published on the web sites of the bands.

The fans of the metal music have been expected to see the great four in a single festival for a very long time, however the engagements of the bands were too many to do it. And now finally came the time for this project to come true and in the same day on the stage of Malakasa will perform the most powerful dinosaurs of the heavy metal.

The truth is that the times change, however the metal rock music remains one of the genres which manage to gather its audience to concerts despite of the fact that in this moment of a financial crisis the best metal bands have to unite in order to make their fans rush to the concerts.

The warming up bands are also famous: Stone Sour, Mastodon and Bullte For My Valentine. The metal concert is part of the Sonisphere festival whose sponsors are eager to make it annual as the fans of the heavy rock music are the ones who always respond to the news for a concert of their idols. 

It is not by accident that last year Sonisphere took two prizes for the best festival at the UK Festival Awards  2009 as six concerts in Europe – in Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Finland and Britain the historical metal bands gathered a total of 300 000 people. This year the festival will be held not only in Greece, but also in ten more European countries among which is Bulgaria as well. The dates of the Sonisphere festival in Sofia are June 22 – 23 – just before it is held in Athens, however they are not yet confirmed.

The tickets sale for the metal fest in Athens starts on Monday February 22^nd. The price of a ticket is 85 euro in the beginning and it will later be sold for 95 euro. For the VIP seats the price of the ticket will be 150 euro.
