Plamena Parteniotis
Hello, music lovers.
At the beginning of the most womanly month of the year we meet again to dance and sing with our favorite GRR HOT 15. And that female presence in it, is pretty strong. What exactly do I mean, you are about to find out.
On first place again we see the charming Mixalis Xatzigiannis and his great ballade To Kalitero Psema. For a second consecutive week the singer was given the gold medal of our chart, thanks to your strong support. The second step of our chart was reached by the ever eccentric Lady Gaga. The music video of her new single, Born This Way debuted on the air a few days ago and it already caused the serious interest of the audience, because of the typical blond beast unconventional visions and provocative images. Chocolate Rihanna, in turn, fell down one position. So her song What's My Name this time greets us from the third place. Whether next week it will drop even further down or - it will rise, depends entirely on your votes.
Four is the position where we find Britain's Jessie J. The brunette caused a furor with her provocative song Do It Like A Dude and as it seems she has no intention anytime soon to descend from the top places in our chart. Close to the pop singer is the gentle voice of Maria Ilieva. The Bulgarian beauty is again on the number five, from where she sings her I Like. And just a step away we can find the just returned to the musical horizon Britney Spears. Hold It Against Me not only successfully met all expectations but also made the promising rise in the career of the otherwise quite controversial singer. This way the former Lolita successfully passed none other than the King of Pop himself - Michael Jackson, who this week was on the lucky number seven.
The eighth position you gave to the crazy All Of The Lights by the even crazier Kanye West. This is also the melody, which went up the highest this week, passing not one, not two, but as many as seven positions up. The controversial rapper successfully passed his colleague Jeremih, already on number nine in GRR HOT 15 with his song Down On Me. At the foot of the top ten we can find the second new proposal from last week. It comes from Hurts, which the Greek and Bulgarian music fans now cannot wait to see in the summer of 2011.
Eleventh place in this week’s edition of the chart you gave to Melises and their beautiful song Lonely Heart. The Greek band is only one position away from the grand lady Anna Vissi and her song Den Tha Iparxei Allo. And so we come to the fatal number thirteen, where we can find Graffa and his ballade Invisible. The pop singer is followed closely by the winter club hit Barbara Stresisand by the Duck Sauce.
The new song proposal for this week comes from the lovely Elena Paparizou. Her latest single, Baby It's Over, enchanted us with quite a nice rhythm and a very beautiful lyrics. However, whether this will be sufficient to enable the sexy singer to climb to the sacred top, remains to be seen in a week’s time.
And while this week passes, I wish you a very fresh weekend and very smiley mood.
We will see you next week!
