“If you want to sleep with me ... cook for me” - this is the title of a novel about culinary, love and sex, of course. Food and sex have always been part of humanity's greatest pleasures that always go hand in hand. Sexual desire is simply a result of the levels of certain hormones in the blood. And hormones are strongly influenced by what we feel through our senses - eyes, hearing, smell, touch and last, but not least, taste. Therefore, there are certain foods and spices called aphrodisiacs which awaken and strengthen our sexual desire.

Today's article is about which your individual aphrodisiac is and to which substances and foods you react most. They have a certain taste, colour and smell that stimulates the production of hormones and thus increases your libido. Scientists have discovered quite a few such substances, but the only thing that even scientists are not sure about is to what extent these substances are able to stimulate hormone production in different people, so that they can feel the difference. This question is fully explained by a very simple thing - each of us has a specific hormone system which does not react to nutrients in the same way.

The aphrodisiac is named after Aphrodite - the goddess of love and sensory pleasures, which naturally include sexual ones. In astrology, the planet Venus has the symbolism and qualities of Aphrodite. Therefore, women are the main aphrodisiac for men. Women are Venus of flesh and blood.

The planet Venus as a fundamental principle and its corresponding second house in the horoscope symbolize the whole hormonal system in the body and how it works. Particularly in terms of libido and substances that stimulate it, or aphrodisiacs, we are interested in the main hormone, testosterone, which is produced by the reproductive organs. In men, it is generally secreted in much larger quantities than in women. But women respond much more noticeably even to the slightest increases of the hormone in their body.

The second house in the horoscope, as a principle, is related to what we appreciate most in life in the form of tangible and intangible things. It is related to what we need in order to satisfy our needs purely physically (money, food, clothing, etc.). All the necessary nutrients, which provide the appropriate energy to the body, are defined according to the state of this house.

Following this logic, in terms of sex, the second house shows us what we need in order to satisfy our sexual needs - this includes several things, such as certain foods which act as an aphrodisiac that helps to maintain the level of the respective hormones.

The eighth house is associated with our sex life. And following the above logical connection, we reach the ninth original house in the horoscope. Information about which is our most powerful aphrodisiac is derived from the sign in which the ninth house falls, the planet that rules it and the planets that fall in it. The state of these elements shows what the levels of libido are and how hormones are secreted.

I will give only basic information about the ninth house according to the zodiac sign in which it falls. I will give it according to the sign of the Ascendant, since it is leading when it comes to material life, food, things, objects, etc.

And before you read what your most stimulating love potion is, see this aphrodisiac, "cooked" Greek-style.

Ascendant in Aries

The ninth house falls in Sagittarius. It is ruled by Jupiter. Basil and honey are the key love potions for you. Not surprisingly, the time after marriage is called "honeymoon." In ancient times, the newlyweds used honey in large amounts in the days around the wedding. These two nutrients provide adequate intensity of your sexual temperament, since your sexual nature seeks an immersive and fulfilling experience. Other foods that strongly influence you include grapefruit, anise, blueberries, raisins, olive oil and sweet wines. Scents that stimulate you most include jasmine, basil and lemon.

Ascendant in Taurus

The ninth house falls in Capricorn. It is ruled by Saturn. Your primary aphrodisiac is black pepper. You have such a sexual nature that any delay can divert your attention to other things very quickly. And pepper helps you make a decision quickly and act fast and dynamically. Other foods that fall in your list of aphrodisiacs include potatoes, barley, beets, medlars, slowly digested foods, and dry wines. Scents that stimulate you most include violet and pine.

Ascendant in Gemini

The ninth house falls in Aquarius. It is ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Your primary aphrodisiac is anise – an ideal substance that stimulates appetite. For you, this is your sex appetite. Your desire is changeable, so you need something that will accumulate enough hormones in the blood in order to awaken your appetite. Other foods that appear in your list of aphrodisiacs include citrus fruit (especially exotic ones), dried fruit, red pepper and the famous ouzo. Scents that stimulate you most include orchid, as well as stronger aromas.
