Company for culture “Synthesis” and the Festival Fringe are inviting artists of all areas of art to take part in the organization of Flower/Power: spring rituals. The organization of the event is a proposition for the official participation of Greece in the pre holiday cultural events of the “Marseill, cultural capital of Europe 2013”. Applications for participation could be sent by January 17^th at: flowerpower@sinthesis.gr

The sponsors of Flower/Power: spring rituals announce that the program is as follows:

February 1^st until March 15^th will be organized workshops and seminars where anthropologists, ethnographers and professionals will make seminars for the artists while at the same time the artists will have to work out an idea about a specific work of art which they will create later. Parallel to this on the workshops and seminars they will make an effort to discover new ways of expression, which will not only enrich the tradition, but will also make it aesthetically and socially active.

March 16^th until May 1^st the artists will create their works. It is being stressed that the aim of the program is that team work has to include people from various areas of art. The festival offers to its participants materials for the execution of their works and for conducting the seminars, room on Vrisakiu str., Plaka area, public and media relations for the coverage of the event and coordination for the fulfillment of the works.
