This year's seventh edition of Jazz Plus Festival will involve musicians from Brazil, Britain, Germany, Spain, Poland, Hungary and Sweden. The concerts will be held in Sofia Live Club between March 15 and April 6, 2011. As in all previous editions of the festival the programme presents some of the best acoustic musicians from Europe and the focus this year is upon notable small formations - solo, duet, trio and quartet. The website of the festival offers detailed information, photos, press releases, and online radio and videos of the participants - http://fest.jazz-plus.com

Smoking during the concerts is not allowed and children are admitted free. All concerts begin at 8 pm.

Tickets for the Jazz Plus Festival concerts are sold in the network of Ticket Plus, online on www.ticketplus.bg, Meloman, Piccadilly, Technomarket, Orange, Public and Photosynthesis stores. Ticket prices range from BGN 17.50 to 40.00. Festival tickets with discount up to 30% are available in Meloman (7a, 6 September Str.) and on Ticket Plus online (www.ticketplus.bg).

The Italian guitarist Antonio Forchone born in Britain will open the Festival with solo performance on March 15 and the Brazilian-born percussionist Adriano Adeuale will join him the next day, March 16. On April 1 we will have the pleasure to dive into the musical world of three musicians from Spain - Javier Collina (contrabass), Mark Miralta (drums) and Periko Sambeat (saxophone) who are known for their numerous participations in various projects such as Lagrimas Negras of Bebo Valdes and of Diego El Sigal and Andando el tiempo of Gerardo Nunez. This formation became the basis of many projects and uses a wide range of expressions from jazz to flamenco and Cuban music. Their debut appearance was in 2007, during the Jazz Terrassa Festival. The band has been almost constantly traveling ever since then, presenting their project in Madrid, Barcelona, Burgos, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Montevideo and Buenos Aires. The last concert of this year's program is on April 6. It will start with the performance of DJ Dosyu Amudzhev. Author and host of Groovy Sessions on Radio Nova, producer, DJ and music critic, Dosyu Amudzhev began to promote funk, acid jazz and fusion in Bulgarian clubs in the mid 1990s. When presenting the relationship between old and new artists he mixes in his sets a lot of jazz (from modal and hard bop to acid and nu-jazz) with funk, soul, broken beat, break beat and Latin.

Then, the musicians from Hidden Orchestra (Scotland) will come on stage to present their debut project Night Walks (Tru Thoughts).
