Let’s cook salmon

Tart with smoked salmon

This is a special and very tasty recipe. Simple, fast and does not smell of... fish as you might think. In order to prepare it, you need a puff pastry crust, 200 g smoked salmon 200 g cream cheese, 2 finely chopped white onions, some finely chopped dill, 1 cup whole milk, 2 eggs, 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, and spices. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and distribute them on the bottom of the crust, which is put into a buttered mould or pie pan. Bake at 180 degrees C for half an hour.

Nicoise salad with salmon

It is very fast, very tasty and quite easy - Nicoise salad traditionally contains fresh tomatoes, green beans, eggs, olives and anchovies or tuna. Instead, you can add salmon fillet, roasted or better still boiled. Add some vinaigrette and you have the perfect salad for your dinner.

Poached salmon

If you are tired of grilled salmon fillet, poached salmon is the perfect solution. You can prepare a delicious and light dinner and serve it with an original salad with pear and sour apple. In order to prepare poached salmon, you need to put 6 cups of water in a pot together with a few slices of lemon, 1 teaspoon salt and a dose of ouzo that matches the fish a lot. On medium heat, let the water boil and add the salmon. Simmer until done and serve over a salad or mayonnaise sauce, dill and yogurt.

Pasta with salmon

Pasta, combined with salmon, is a dish which you cannot resist. In order to prepare this already classic recipe, put some olive oil in a pan, coarsely chopped salmon fillet, spices, scallions, capers and a dose of vodka. Add the pasta together with some of the water in which you boiled it and add cream 2 minutes before serving.

Salmon with eggs

Why should bacon and ham be a main part of our breakfast? Next time, try to replace them with salmon. Sauté the salmon, cut into pieces, in some olive oil and add the eggs beaten with some milk. Stir and serve with fresh dill that goes very well with salmon.

Salmon with red sauce

It may sound strange, but salmon is delicious with tomato sauce. You will get the perfect Mediterranean dish by combining salmon with tomatoes, olives and potatoes. To prepare it, sauté some garlic and onion in olive oil in a pan, add tomato juice and olives and simmer. Then add the sliced potatoes, together with half a cup of water. After 10 minutes, when the potatoes are tender, add the salmon fillet. Simmer and serve with fresh oregano.

Muffins with salmon

Do you find the idea of muffins with salmon strange? They are not only delicious, but also very original. The basic recipe comes from Italy, but you can add whatever you like. You need 90 g butter, 300 g flour, 150 g mozzarella or feta cheese, 200 g smoked salmon, 20 ml milk, 100 grams yogurt, 1 teaspoon soda, some salt, dill and scallions. Mix everything in a blender, put the batter in muffin cups and bake at 180 degrees C for about half an hour.

Salmon fishcakes

This is a very different suggestion, especially for those who do not like salmon. They look like meatballs, and their taste is not reminiscent of fish at all. In order to prepare them, mix 500 g salmon fillet, without the skin, a pinch of curry for flavour, parsley, some lemon, 1 tablespoon olive oil and some breadcrumbs. Bake as you would meatballs in the oven and serve with cooked zucchini and carrots or a salad with lots of lemon.
