They say that the reason behind every great achievement is the passion for money, power, significance or love (emotions, feelings, sex). I would add that the reason for every great crime is the passion for money, power, significance or love, too.

 In this article I will write about our inclinations towards violating established rules and laws - whether people are potential thieves, swindlers, forgers, fraudsters and whether they tend to kill or injure other living creatures. However, I would like to remind you in the very beginning, that only through an accurate analysis of the individual horoscope can it be defined whether this tendency is deep and whether it goes beyond human norms.

 Popular astrology usually attributes everything to the so-called "zodiac sign". Every astrologer will tell you, however, that no absolute conclusions can be drawn from the "zodiac sign" alone. It would be the same as drawing conclusions from a person's height or weight. Therefore, the statistics emanating from the "zodiac sign" are interesting, but in the end representatives of all zodiac signs can be found in these statistics. This is precisely why people are sceptical and think that astrology is a sham. Instead, people should know that the zodiac sign alone is not enough to draw conclusions.

 Usually, people commit crimes because of money, love, sex, personal beliefs and religion. However, I will not enter into minute details. Instead, I will only give the outlines of our dark side. Everybody has a dark side and people are periodically prone to infringements such as speeding, public law violations, stealing (even just a box of paper clips from the office), not paying bills, borrowing money without repaying it, physical or verbal violence to others (for example, rows, insults, fights). On the other hand, how far one would go beyond the limits can be defined only through a careful and detailed analysis of the horoscope.

Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto are defined as the rascals and villains in astrology. These planets are believed to show whether the person is prone to violate the established social and human norms, whether he or she will be "evil" and to what extent - whether this person commits the crime or if he or she is the one who suffers it. This is the basic principle.

But when we are talking about people's proneness to different types and severity of crimes and offences, these planets are of secondary importance, because Venus plays the main part here. Popular astrology usually presents Venus as lavishly sprinkled with powdered sugar and rose fragrance and it delicately hides the dark side because it is far more favourable to speak about pleasant things. The Mayans associated Venus with violence - not Mars or Saturn. When they saw Venus rising before the Sun in the morning, they said that "Venus is throwing her spear." They considered Venus a goddess with two faces - one beautiful and fascinating and the other dark and disgusting.

In Greek mythology, Venus (or Aphrodite) was well known for her great abilities to spark passion - love and hate in equal amounts. Venus, as it has been said before, is a planet symbolizing human desires - the desire for love, money, power, strength, and anything else you can think of. Every crime is always related to a strong desire and a strong, unhealthy passion for something.

Did you know that of all the planets in the solar system, Venus is the hottest? Its surface is so hot, that even lead would melt there. Climatic conditions there are reminiscent of hell - with the inferno's boiling cauldrons and horned devils. The atmospheric pressure is almost 100 times higher than the Earth's. All these astronomical facts are a symbol of the deep tension resulting from our desires - these desires actually crush us and burn us to ashes.

Therefore, when we want to find out whether a given person is prone to stealing, breaking social norms, killing or using force, we should first consider Venus. Venus and Mars are one of the astronomical "couples" in the solar system. Together, they specify what makes a person act completely spontaneously and naturally. Venus shows the thing we strive for, the things we want to experience and the things we have a deep passion for, while Mars shows the way in which we achieve these things.

Venus in the horoscope defines whether a person will have a destroyed values system and therefore a tendency to commit more serious crimes. Normally, if Venus in the horoscope falls in a sign in which its position is very favourable (Taurus, Libra or Pisces), this is considered to be something positive. But this is not always true. A well positioned Venus "believes" that it is entitled to everything on its territory: "I'm home, I'm a star and I can do whatever I want to". These are the signs in which Venus often manifests some kind of a stardom behaviour. And if it is hurt and affected by a "malefactor" (Mars, Saturn, Uranus and Pluto), Venus has no serious inhibitions to break and violate rules and norms.

Besides Venus's position according to the sign in the horoscope, it is also important in what relation it is with Mars. Traditionally, one of the hottest relations between these two planets are a conjunct, a square and an opposition. They endow people with a lot of inside passion, therefore making them very attractive to others. Such people somehow involuntarily but permanently seduce the others. But bearing in mind that there are always two sides of passion, such people are usually most prone to aggression, violence and breaking all kind of norms.

In order to get a complete picture of Venus in the individual horoscope one has to consider not only the zodiac position, but other factors as well: whether Venus is in direct or retrograde motion, whether it rises before or after the sun, in what relation it is with Mars, how other planets affect it and which of them prevail, what is the relationship with the Ascendant and which houses it rules in the horoscope. This information, however, requires a very thorough analysis.

So what is Venus's "dark" side? Everybody has it to some extent. There should be no offended or affected among readers. No one is pleased to face their negative and dark side. But even if we hide it, it is there and this dark side regularly draws attention to itself. Let's take off our gorgeous clothes for a while and have a look at ourselves without make-up.

The twelve signs are divided into four groups according to their element - fire, earth, air and water. Each element is associated with the manifestation of certain qualities. As for Venus, it shows the things we have a deep desire for and would therefore violate any social and human norms to have them. I will give descriptions by the element, because human desires are reduced to four main categories - money, power, personal significance (ideology and beliefs) and love (emotions, feelings, sex).

Note that the sign position indicates approximately what the source of your deepest desires is and what these desires are centred around. Only a careful analysis of the individual horoscope can define, however, whether you are prone to go to extremes and to what extent.

Venus in fire signs - Aries, Leo or Sagittarius - brings as a quality dynamics and a desire to prove yourself. If your Venus is in any of these signs, you have a desire to violate the established rules and laws. All violations and crimes in your case result from your sense of personal importance, ideology and beliefs. Who dares to make you follow someone else's rules?! You create the rules and that is that! You build your own code of behaviour and others are obliged to follow it. You feel a compelling desire to break everything, which is defined as a norm by society, by the community or the family. You don't tolerate the word "must" said by someone else. You think that only you have the right to say "must", "obligatory", "forbidden". You do not tolerate it when someone else doesn't obey your rules and you are even able to enforce these rules on others. You are centred exclusively around yourself and you hardly realize that the person against you also has rights and his or her own worldview.

 The three signs are ruled by Mars (sign Aries), Sun (sign Leo) and Jupiter (sign Sagittarius). Among them, Venus in Aries is in the least favourable position, but this doesn’t mean that it is less centred on its own desires. In this position Venus is like a child who believes that the desire to hear the sound of a gun has to be satisfied and so just shoots - never mind that the law says this is a crime.

 Venus in Leo is careful in its purposefulness, but the most persistent and aggressive in its desire to impose its personal rules, by breaking all laws. The others should be silent and wait for Venus to give them permission to speak - just to say that they agree with it.

 Venus in Sagittarius looks for some kind of idealism, but it has no idea what this idealism is like - it forms it exclusively through confrontation and constantly changes it on the fly. And every time it changes its ideology, it requires it to be accepted again. In this case, violations caused by fanaticism are the most common.

Venus in the earth signs - Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn - brings as a quality practicality, security and stability. If your Venus is in any of these signs, then you have no scruples when it comes to money and possessions. Greed runs in your veins. You have a deep desire for all kinds of material possessions and money - lots of money. You will do whatever you can to have them, so the most common crimes in your case are related to the theft of someone else's property, embezzlement, struggles and conflicts about possessions.

 The three signs are ruled by Venus (sign Taurus), Mercury (sign Virgo) and Saturn (sign Capricorn). Among them Venus in Virgo is in the least favourable position, and Venus in Taurus is in one of the most favourable positions. At a first glance, there should be some differences, but in fact, there are almost no distinctions. Venus in Taurus falls in its house in this position and it sincerely believes that if it likes something, there is no reason not to get it just like that. Venus in Virgo does the same, and even without being selective - it wants to take everything which falls into its hands, even if it doesn't like it that much. Venus in Capricorn is in a neutral position - in the middle, but this makes its influence the greatest. It does not fall for small amounts and possessions, its aspirations are towards big gains.

Venus in air signs - Gemini, Libra and Aquarius - brings as a quality a cool, abstract curiosity about people and the desire for power over them. If your Venus is in any of these signs, you have a deep desire to rule people, to excel them, to manage them. You wouldn't be ashamed to break everything in your way towards the top of the pyramid. Extremely creative, you are among the best counterfeiters, intellectual thieves and scammers - schemers aiming at climbing the social ladder. You think that deception and intrigue is a mind-game, a test of your abilities. If you are able to deceive someone, this means that you are superior to them and that you have an ability to rule them. You want to dominate the minds around you.

 The three signs are ruled by Mercury (sign Gemini), Venus (sign Libra) and Saturn, Uranus (sign Aquarius). Among them, Venus in the sign Libra is in one of the most favourable positions, there it falls in its house. And this mean that it naturally rules, arranges the puppets and pulls their strings. For this Venus it is perfectly normal for a person to seek power and positions. And intellectual fraud, counterfeiting and intrigue are considered to be a superior brain power - "Great artists copy, but brilliant ones steal."

 Venus in Gemini is a special category. With the greatest of ease, it veils the direction of its desires and achieves power and positions mainly via misleading information and actions.

 Venus in Aquarius reaches its desire through methods which are completely unsuspected by the others. It is simply brilliant, even to the extent of admiration, when it comes to fraud and forgery.

Venus in water signs - Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces - brings as a quality a lot of sensuality, emotion and passion. If your Venus is in any of these signs, you have a deep desire to challenge and to feel the emotions of the others. You are capable of doing anything in order to experience the entire mountain of emotions and senses. The most hardened criminals can be found among you - criminals, whose goal is to experience emotion when doing someone harm. Your motto is "In love and war anything goes". The moral side of life is something unknown for you. The greatest pathologies result from satisfying desires sparked by passion, emotion and love.

 The three signs are ruled by the Moon (sign Cancer), Mars, Pluto (sign Scorpio) and Jupiter, Neptune (sign Pisces). Among them, Venus in Scorpio is in one of the most unfavourable positions, and Venus in Pisces - in one of the most favourable positions. It would be expected that this would give them very different nuances, but in fact they are very similar. Venus in Pisces believes sincerely and honestly that people are meant to meet its emotional needs. And moral is not important here, because the emotional world is so diverse, moral only restricts it.

 Venus in Scorpio first meets the moral norms and then breaks them completely and intentionally, because it doesn't want to be restricted in the process of delivery of passion and emotions.

 Venus in Cancer is in the golden middle. It will violate moral norms and will take something in the most cold-blooded way only in certain circumstances. It has to be sure beforehand that the passion this desire will bring will provide complete satisfaction.
