Deputy Minister of Social Security: The normative act is patriotic, though not very good

A little earlier, Deputy Minister of Social Security Dimitris Stratoulis had said, "It is not good to introduce such a legal act, even for the purpose of emergency measures." When he was asked to explain why the government, which was against such legislation as opposition, has now used them twice within 90 days, he replied, "The particular act is not a problem since it does not affect salaries and pensions," adding, "similar legal acts should be sparingly used, without affecting the fundamental rights of people. However, in view of the battle that we are fighting to keep the country on its feet when others want it to fail and sign a new memorandum, there are patriotic actions that must be taken into account.
