While the scenarios for the fate and taking over the management of AEK by unknown investors are starting to look like an infinite sitcom in which characters change, but the action revolves around a single issue that cannot be resolved, the AEK fan “Union 1924” decided to take, or at least try to take, the fate of team in their own hands. Insulted and revolted by the fact that for 4 months a decision cannot be made on who will invest and take AEK, "Union 1924” appealed to all fans to gather together and discuss the fate of their favorite team. The Union organized a special meeting at Imperial Hotel in Athens, where they discussed various proposals on how to save AEK. The organization "Union 1924” was founded in 2003 by AEK fans, in order to make a plan on how to save the dying back then team. This organization has 24 alliances in Athens and 27 unions outside of Greece. The meeting was attended by representatives of the union from Athens and members living abroad have sent telegrams with proposed solutions on how to solve AEK’s problems. 

Some speeches urged for transparency in the administration and accounting of PAE and KAE AEK. Regarding the debts of KAE, which are significantly less than those of PAE (approximately €2 500 000), there was a proposal for the union itself to try and find potential investors. 

With pain the members of the union mentioned that for the last 4 months there has been no clear plan on the fate of AEK. The plans for the team to be sponsored by an American of Greek origin Kozonis Haralambos, fell apart and the news about a Cypriot investor taking over the team, published in a Cyprian website, was a speculation. The debt of AEC has been discussed for the last 4 months and the amount of it is still unknown. The gathered fans in Imperial Hotel expressed their overwhelming distrust of the management of AEK and accused that it is indifferent to the sport, and its only motive for action is profit. 

The members of “Union 1924” expressed their bitter belief that no reliable contractor will come out and save AEK. Fallen into limbo ... they even offered to raise money to give to the AEK or to purchase its shares. As an exchange for this they want to gain access to the administrative structures and authority of AEK and the anonymous company AEK to become a company of the people...
