The world premiere for “This is it” is scheduled for October 28 and it will air at the same time in a long list of countries, among which is also Greece. The film follows the last days of Michael Jackson’s life and seals his concert rehearsals – a concert, which he was supposed to have in London.
“Michael Jackson has a whole army of fans throughout the whole world. We wanted to give the opportunity to as many people as possible to honor him,” says Jeff Blake from Sony Pictures. The director of “This is it” is Kenny Ortega – the choreographer, which Michael Jackson had chosen for his appearance in London. The film includes scenes from his rehearsals and behind the scenes footage before the King’s return on stage.
The movie was filmed in LA and it took few months – from March until the end of June, few days before the pop idol’s death. The film will be in theatres for two weeks.
